Tbh the “releasing Henry as the lead single is like releasing change from lust for life” comment has really stuck with me and I think it’s an indication that we really are going to be getting a kind of eclectic mix of country style songs on the record. I don’t think Tough is going to be on the album but I think Henry, Tough, and the Fenway intro show different types of songs we could be getting.

I feel like it’s 100% coming in June/July. This is based of purely vibes but Henry is such a summery song to me I feel like the album has to come out in the summer.

I doubt it is just because I think she wouldn’t have put the “Henry come on” text if it was. Even though she’s released some terrible single covers she’s never released a single with the album cover before the album cover was revealed. I’m sure it’s a similar photo from the same shoot though (like the new music Friday promo photo).

Honestly something that Henry has confirmed for me is Lana will literally never escape California. There is something so Californian about her entire being to the point where I don’t think she can make music that doesn’t have some of it infused. Like Henry is giving Joshua Tree not Louisiana or even the south at all.

I agree with you kinda sorta lol. When I was talking about it sounding like countrified Ocean Blvd I specifically meant the production of the title track. I know Lana used a lot of strings in her earlier eras but I think Drew Ericksons string production is completelyyyyy different than Dan Heaths. Personally i'm not a huge fan of Drew Ericksons strings as they sound kind of cheap compared to Lanas old stuff.
