How funny would it be if it was just flipped and lana sings the whole thing with taylor doing 10 seconds of backing vocals :fabcat:

i wouldn't be as happy as if they sang together. i want "nothing new" not "woman"

  2. When they said prolific, they weren’t kidding

you thought that I was just a calendar kitten

    vs.

    californ-i-a, homeland of the gods

once i found my way, but now i am lost

  3. Spoiler

not gonna put ocean blvd in this ranking cause i've not had enough time to listen to it during ramadan but it's probably gonna be 3/4. (ranked by number of skips to song ratio)

    1. lust for life (0 skips/16 songs)

    2. born to die/blue banisters (0 skips/15 songs)

    3. nfr (0 skips/14 songs)

    4. ultraviolence (1 skip/16 songs)

    5. honeymoon (1 skip/14 songs)

    6. ocean blvd (2 skips/16 songs)

    7. cotcc (2 skips/11 songs)

    8. paradise (2 skips/9 songs)

    9. AKA (3 skips/13 songs)

admittedly, this is a very flawed way of ranking.

    1. blue banisters

    2. nfr

    3. ocean blvd

    4. lust for life

    5. ultraviolence

    6. honeymoon

    7. chemtrails

    8. paradise

    9. born to die

    10. aka

this was pretty easy to do

  4. i don't hate this song but it's really gonna need quite a few listens.

the intro shouldn't've been as long as it was (shoulda stopped after "one, two, ready"). and generally i don't like album openers and closers being singles. i wanna experience the start of an album when i'll get context after the first song (if you know what i meaned).

gonna try to fall in love with it by march 24th :/

  5. can't believe no one's done arabic yet. i can do this either with standard arabic or my own accent (saudi) (imma do the latter).

    انذار
    Sirens (Inthar)

لانا دل ري او ليزي قرانت
Aka (Lana Del Ray uw Lizzy Grant)

    مولوده عشان اموت
Born To DIe (Muwluda Aashan Amut)

    جنة
    Paradise (Jannah)

    عنف قوي
    Ultraviolence (Aanf Guwy)

    شهر العسل
    Honeymoon (Shahar Alaasal)

    حب الحياة
    Lust For Life (Hub Alhayat)

    نورمان كسمه روكويل

Norman Fucking Rockwell! (Norman Kusumuh Rockwell, there's no word I can think of for fuck in Arabic so I used the closest thing which means "his mom's pussy")

    كيمتريل فوق النادي

Chemtrails Over The Country Club (Kemtreel Fawg Alnadi)

    درابزين زرقة

    Blue Banisters (Darabzeen Zarga)

تدري انه فيه نفق تحت جادة المحيط
Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (Tidri Inu Feih Nafaq Taht Jadat Almuheet)

All of Lana's title tracks go hard as hell and it's hard to even rank them.

while i agree with your general sentiment, i think ranking isn't much of an issue. in my subjective opinion, honeymoon and nfr rank below cotcc and ocean blvd.

you don't seem like an "averageUVenjoyer"

stop. i chose the name when i was 18 and going thru it (i had a bad haircut)

edit: i am changing my name on lanaboards as of the 7th of february 2023

  8. 1) tracks that ruin their respective records:

    • body electric
    • money power glory
    • fmwttp
    • god knows i tried
    • tulsa jesus freak

tulsa jesus freak is fucking horrible and should've stayed as an unleaked, scrapped song for cotcc.

    2) lfl is one of her best works

    3) her best work are her most recent records. we all love nfr (...right?) and the cool ppl love cotcc but i adore blue banisters for how calm it is. granted my least favorite tracks on it are her most stripped back (sorry beautiful and vfr fans :pray2:) but my favorites on the record are still way more quiet and bare than her previous work (is it clear that blue banisters is my top record? lmao). i don't HATE btd, uv etc at all, i love 95% of the tracks on them. it's just that nfr-bb (and hopefully ocean blvd) are consistently great and i love them the most :smirk:

Ok, I barely ever dream about things like this but last night I had a vivid dream that the lead single was out with a mv. The song was very country inspired but still experimental enough to grab your attention. The mv was similar to COCC in regard to special effects. Don't remember the storyline though. It was weird but so good.

The only dream about lana I had was that she invited me back stage to give me a tshirt :flutter: i wasn't a fan back then though so I am very confused
