But I also hate the logic of “this song blew up, so I’m going to release it, but I’m going to change it for its official release.” At least release the demo version alongside this version for those people (like me) who actually just want a HQ version of the demo and to give her streams. Now I’m still going to be reverting to listening to the demo mostly which won’t make her any money.
lmao yeah I’m just going to pull up the James Ford demo on my files app

I was listening on Spotify and only Kintsugi sounded a bit muffled, but it sounded like that in the leak too. The first half of the album grew on me a lot though. The only song that’s really still a skip for me is Kintsugi. It just goes on for too long in my opinion.
That’s how I felt..I love the lyrics but it was strictly piano and not interesting piano at that. The first half of the album is A tier

Me too…JSI was interesting as hell and I loved the piano accompaniment.

going to get crucified as a minority but peppers was one of my least favorites if not my least favorite.. I liked the lyrics (aside from hands on your knees) but the production/chorus was not it for me…that said stream candy necklace

I’m not joking lmao It’s one of the most incredible things I’ve ever heard in my 25 years on this planet. Her sweet voice, his passion, the beautiful piano, the laughter, the darkness, oh my god. I can’t get enough of it. Lana’s little genuine laugh in it and him just sounding so hyped over what they’re creating.. it’s art. Please someone tell me candy necklace had elements of this… Holy fuck
STOP YALLL IM TRYING TO BE STRONG

I also loved A&W, actually I loved it from the first time. It reminded me of AKA days which I thought she would never recall. I’m glad that at least we have this song. The last time I liked a lana’s song that much (not considering unreleased tracks) was with title track of COCC.
but yes, I think she’s doing what she wants to. Hope she’s happy but it’ll be better if she’s happy with songs I like
Literally I’m glad we at least have A&W

20 minutes ago, bia said:Omg this is what I’m most afraid of - Ocean Boulevard being similar to COCC and BB and then she keeps in this comfort zone… I really dislike COCC and BB, sorry guys when I heard COCC I was sure that I would never dislike more a Lana’s album, and then BB came out
Ocean Boulevard title track didn’t get me either as I thought it was a more produced version of BBS songs so I’m afraid she continues that way. oh but I didn’t hear any leaks so I may be reaaaally wrong (hope so )
Honestly fr. That’s what I said when I first heard OB. I didn’t even like it at first but it grew on me. A&W was def blew my mind because it felt so different to what she’s been doing, but then The Grants was more like OB. (They’re both beautiful songs) But I agree I’m hoping this isn’t a jazzier BB. (I have hope but I agree in BB and COCC being “comfortable” albums and I’m ready to move from the antonoff piano ballads). I just hope she’s happy with what she’s doing, and it seems she is.

Just listened to “The Grants”
not soberand okay maybe I see why grant truthers feel like that. The progression of the verses have the darkness of A&W yet the chorus etc (idk what they’re called) are more uplifting and I think this is truly a better opener than I originally thought. We need to just let Ultraviolence 2.0 rest because she’s coming with (perhaps) her magnum opus. Listening to lyrics, I (ofc) googled and the lyrics surrounding the thought of her death and the memories she hopes to bring to her deathbed I think that it’s truly a beautiful song. Maybe I don’t like the intro as much, because Ms Thunder girlies haven’t grown on me but I’ve listened to the song enough to appreciate it nowJust now, PARADISEMOTEL said:Just listened to “The Grants”

He really did. I was originally a lil bit scared hearing he was going to be on this one too but A&W feels brand new and familiar at the same time. Idk what about A&W has me speechless but they really did that

literally. I can’t listen to Lana without headphones because I feel like you miss half of what’s there (and it feels like such a personal experience)

Also this might be the best production Jack has done with Lana for my liking, he produced some career highlights with Lana for sure but he really served extra hard on this one & I'm proud of him & of Sam who did the percussion I think. But I'm still super shook how Lana sometimes wakes up & comes up with songs like West Coast, Venice Bitch & A&W etc. she truly is a genius
I guess that's coming from the experience of being an american whore
0.00 till 7.13 perfection
100% ofc I was scared for mr ant off on this album but everything that has come out I have loved. It took awhile for DYKTTATUOB to really sink in but now it has I’m nothing but excited. A&W really is perfection from start to finish

I have no thoughts… can’t stop replaying. Chills when the intro starts. the magazine today only made the wait more painful, but I’m so glad this was the song she decided to release as a single. It feels very significant. I agree that A&W makes me appreciate DYKTATUOB even more. Almost only one more month to go

Holy SHIT I JUST HEARD IT and it’s alr downloaded to my unreleased vault files on my phone ❤️ absolute SOTY

I doubt it because “no outtakes” and they don’t sound recent, but if Dragon Slayer was reworked with more orchestra like Tunnel I wouldn’t object
