  1. I started sobbing when I heard this. What an unbelievably beautiful end to their story/legacy, of one of the most iconic and groundbreaking bands in music history.

I've always felt that their music was speaking directly to me but this one in particular perfectly described a friendship/relationship that's been heavily interwoven into my life for years now, and along with considering this as the final end to something that has brought me so much joy, this song absolutely broke me.

I don't like AI very much, but I am so grateful we are capable of harnessing it in a way that will allow us to unearth and polish beautiful pieces of musicianship like this. I love the Beatles and I love this song <3

That’s just not true. TikTok didn’t exist when all of the versions leaked. I don’t even understand this discussion. This is too much for me.

If time is a factor whether something gains traction then why isn’t Ocean Blvd outreaming A&W. It came out before A&W. Like do you realize how ridiculous you sound? I don’t see Arcadia out-streaming Ocean either.

Yes to Heaven versions were all available before TikTok. That app could’ve picked any of the versions to blow up but it’s still the James Ford version (slightly sped up). James Ford has always been the popular version even just on YouTube. The slightly sped up version NOT chipmunked is the absolute most popular. It was a by product of people evading copyright to post the song, but it ended up being the version people like the most. Just listen to it and you can see why.

    TikTok simply amplified that.

when i'm in a not understanding how song popularity works competition and my opponent is Xenoblade 2 How Exploding Head emoji looks on Apple. How Face Screaming in Fear emoji looks on Apple.

Ok so… I just read the Interview magazine article and this part stuck out to me —

Then, I watched this documentary when I was 20 called The Devil and Daniel Johnston with my boyfriend at the time, Artie Levine, and seeing that Daniel was super different and he had a bit of a cult following, I realized there might be a chance here. I definitely had my muses, but it was so much later on in life because I didn’t move to New York until I was 18, and that was when I first heard anything other than Eminem, country, and NPR. All of a sudden, I got a fucking crash course in music.

Who is this? I feel like I've never heard that name before, I looked him up on here and couldn't find anything either. There was a boxer of the same name born in NY, but he would've been in his like 60/70s when Lana was 20 :deadbanana:

arthur lynn's real last name is levine, so arthur lynn= artie levine. that's what i'm guessing anyway lol

  5. i've honestly been thinking this for a while but didn't want to be cynical and ruin the vibe- realistically Honeymoon and UV were 7-8 years ago. AND they came out back to back, when she was in a very different headspace and creative environment than she is now. It would be so unlikely for her next album to sound like a combination of the two, ESPECIALLY after her most recent work. we've four full albums inbetween that time, all of which have been sonically very different, and it's been almost a decade. it's so unlikely for "HM+UV" for that to be true :crai:
