I watched it a long time ago and immediately thought of Lana (more Lizzy Grant than Lana del Rey). Especially when the mom kept referring to the car as a horse or something like that, my memory of the movie is kinda foggy now 

But it was really good nonetheless 

In the first verse of Wait for Life it sounds like she's singing "all I want is to make you my negro"

OMG i'm in love with this song. I think heartbreaking is a good term - at first I was gonna use bittersweet to describe it but I usually save that word for VG. 

It feels warm but sad at the same time. A very new song-type for Lana since usually her melancholy is kinda in your face (but in a beautiful melodramatic 60s woman way). TLY is definitely one of her best songs imo. I keep replaying it. And I also feel like I can really relate to it considering it's vagueness in the lyrics. Unlike her bad boy with blue eyes and a cigarette songs. I love it 

but guys when the UV tracklist came out did it sound legit? like "Sad Girl" "Brooklyn Baby" "Shades of Cool", etc, etc idk but i feel like some of Lana's actual song titles sound so cliche so i feel like this might not be a complete lie, or maybe I'm being hopeful lol 

I also looked up the length of Nina's DLMBM and its 2:43 and on this "tracklist" Lana's is 2:47 

I don't know why so many people dislike Catch and Release. It is one of my fav songs from her because it's fucking trippy. Who needs drugs when you got Lana?  

Also, I have a feeling that Lana is going more slightly commercial and I kinda like it... like HBTB still has its little Lana quirks and what not but it appealed a lot to the GP, more than any other of her songs.

anyone else think the chorus is a bit wordy? like the buying into your bullshit part, it feels kinda squished
