    hey fellow canadian whore

i stumbled upon lana in 2012 while i was listening to marina on youtube and they were suggesting the music video for blue jeans to me and i remember thinking the name ‘Lana Del Rey’ sounded so interesting, so i listened and i instantly fell in love. full body chills

Yessss I was originally a Marina fan and saw that Lana and bands like Arctic Monkeys got posted to the Marina blogs I followed

  2. In preparation for the COLLAPSE that will be ocean blv.... whats everyones first experience with Lana :awkney:

Mine was 2014, scrolling through tumblr and seeing everyone talk about this new album UV and thinking the aesthetic was cool and that she was pretty. Listened to Gods & Monsters alone in my bedroom and instantly got hooked. I REMEMBER THE EXACT MOMENT I KNEW THIS WAS GONNA BE MY IT GIRL :illumilana2:

anyways, i can’t believe we are so close to hearing the full album!!!

i am a bit shocked the grants was the last ? single to be released before the album, but i’m sure lana had a reasoning ! it feels like momentum is a bit lower but maybe tap has some tricks up their sleeves.

i would love to see a huge era like NFR had or a lasting impact like UV had. tbd.

I think we have a really interesting era coming up! Especially if she tours, I'm looking forward to see the aesthetic direction she takes (as well as musically, of course) :lolliney:

the pics are beautiful but i really like the more “professional” photoshoots like the one she did with interview magazine

Her shoots for Interview are always so good. Would love to see her in more editorial shoots (her David LaChapelle shoot will always be my fave)

I think one of the reasons why so many 10-13 y/o kids fall in love with Lana's music is (probably) because she's their first encounter with dark topics such as death, drugs and sex?

Absolutely was that for me. I was an angsty teen with severe self image issues. Lana made me feel beautiful and mysterious when I was anything but. I think many girls for years to come will have Lana as their first icon
