I just realized that while we got Best Friends, I Told/Direction, and Make It Up, we will never be getting an official release of the masterpiece that is Dog, because the intro vocals on Dog are the same ones as Till Now. Meaning that while she created them for Dog, she repurposed them for Till Now, and I doubt she'll officially use them twice. RIP all the good Banks songs.

The only thing I really liked was the bridge in OWHH. LOVED that part. The rest of it was so insanely random. You'd think it was her first time making music. Guillotine was cool, too short. I get that "it ends when the head it abruptly cut off" or whatever, but still, too short. Delulu and IHYXGF are very new BANKS. She's a bitch, unnecessarily mean. Love Is Unkind is just meh. Writing on the bridge is weird. Move was okay. Cool even? I'm only saying that cause it's Banks, though. I'd never give it a second chance if it were anyone else. I'm actually liking this Best Friends more than the leak. Miss the voice cracks though what the hell is that autotune on Meddle tho 😭 those vocals were not it Make It Up was a dud since it leaked, same for Direction/I Told what the FUCK was River. Oh god… It’s finally released where I am. Just listened to it with headphones, and while it is really nice, I can’t believe the changed the most important part: The way her voice trembles when she says “said I was lucky for >forgiveness<”, almost like she’s about to cry, is gone. It’s what really brought home how she feels about that friendship, and I can’t believe she cleaned it up and pronounced it clearly 😢 Actually excited for the album though

I kinda miss the “we used to chill” part, but it also kinda sounds better without it I’m glad she didn’t change it too much from the leaked version, it still sounds great

In an email she sent at the release of IHYXGF, she said B5 was coming “early next year”. Who knows if that’s changed now that she gave the tracklist, although considering she postponed Goddess Unplugged, she probably wouldn’t release OWHH any earlier.

It’s actually crazy how bad Spirit is. Surprisingly I’m warming up to the rest of the album. Fuck Love is a fun song if I feel like listening to trashy pop, which I sometimes do, but it’s just not Banks. Unleavable is one of my all-time favorite Banks songs, specifically the last minute of the track. The layering is just something else ✨ Can’t wait for Goddess acoustic though! Also freaking out because she’s already showing a bit of what her new era’s going to look like. She actually does! She's said that her songwriting process is first melody, then mumbling/chanting along to it until she actually comes up with words. So most likely, since these songs were scrapped, she didn't flesh out the lyrics too well
