Azealia comments on "Art Deco" diss track rumors
May replied to brooklynbaby91's topic in Latest News
lmao she literally has a song called 'ghetto baby' and you're all only just clocking her for using it in a song... it's problematic but you all never commented on it before- 168 replies

ddddd why did she say "Um, not really" at first and then assume we had it already...
-
IF THIS IS TRUE...
-
as long as she doesn't keep us waiting on it for an eternity again...

those videos are actually really sweet it seems like a really chilled and relaxed atmosphere at the venue too, she seems like she's actually taking time to have conversations with the fans and make it worth their time aw

https://twitter.com/AZEALIABANKS/status/645322749083258881 it's weird that azealia hasn't talked with lana about it and just asked her 'is art deco about me?' considering how close they seemed to be a few months ago...

i wish she wouldn't have said that she was going back to her BTD roots because honestly i can barely hear the similarities between this album and BTD and i had my hopes up... but it's still a great record it's closer to Ultraviolence to me

i think someone else already said this in here but when she says 'you're so Art Deco' i think she's continuing the theme of Carmen and describing a girl who only exists to look good and go out at night 'Put your red dress on, put your lipstick on Sing your song, song, now the camera's on And you're alive again' what i mean is that there's this girl who goes out and stays out all night but she never lets people in emotionally - 'they all say hello, you try to ignore them because you want more' so she's nothing more than a decorative item. to other people, she only exists to look good, they don't know anything about what's going on in her mind because she ignores everyone who tries to be her friend. this is a messy unorganised post bc i was pretty much just writing down my thought process lel

has anyone noticed anymore lyric throwbacks to past songs? "No one's out of time now, chips fall where they may" and "The power of youth is on my mind, sunset small town, I'm out of time" "Sun reflecting in his eyes" from Freak and the same line from Bentley "It never was about the money or the drugs" and "We were running for the money and the flesh" (even tho that was just a cover) -

also 24 is one of the weaker tracks on the album for me but the "if you lie down with dogs then you'll get flees" and the bridge save the song so well... the bridge is one of the strongest points of the album
