Okay really weird but has anyone listened to LFL the title track while baked and it felt like it lasted years? Im listening to it now and I swear it feels like it's been 20 minutes

Yes! And then the Groupie Love chorus just seemed to get slower and slower until I felt like my faced melted off.

Thank you. <3 I work on my recovery every day. It's difficult to see others who've gone through similar things not make it through. It just breaks my heart that he couldn't find peace in life. 

Linkin Park and Chester's lyrics/vocals got me through a lot of rough times when I was younger and struggling through abuse. I only found out today, after reading about his death, that he was a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and suddenly it's all hit me so much harder. I stand in solidarity with all CSA survivors. RIP to Chester, I hope his soul is at peace, wherever he may be, pure energy and star stuff scattered across the ether or in a heaven of his own design. 

Linkin Park will probably sell a lot today and over the weekend because of nostalgia reasons but then drop off in sales pretty rapidly. RIP Chester and my youth tbh.

I'll never get over its exclusion, as dumb as that sounds. Personally I also think it would have fit in exquisitely with the rest of the tracks, especially songs like White Mustang and Heroin. Like, I will take this bitterness to my grave haha. I normally don't get this riled up over Lana's decisions, but this song is just... so good!

I still can't believe how good 13 Beaches and World At War are. She really did THAT!

They are both definitely Lana classics, I knew it even on the first listen in shitty quality. I fucking love the little surprise on the World at War chorus where she sings, "When the world was at war BEFORE, we just kept dancing" which, for me personally, was sort of comforting in a strange way. Like, times are a bit crazy right now, but we always forget we've been through this all before... and as a society we made it. Time to do it all again. 

The Heroin lyrics about Manson give me chills...the whole song seems to be about the dark side of Canyon culture in California

 

The Canyons are where the 60s music scene started...Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Mamas and Papas, Eagles, etc, etc. But also the place where the Manson Family was born

I'm a bit of a true crime buff and the Manson lyrics hit me so hard when I first listened to Heroin! God, Lana invokes such intense images, the blood on the wall legit gave me the shivers. Kinda on subject, but Tarantino's doing a Manson movie and can't you just imagine Lana doing a piece for the soundtrack? 

 

How do you even like In My Feelings

"I'm feeling all my fucking feelings" is comparable to JLO's - Emotions, with that cringe line "I feel good cause i dont feel bad"

 

 

I'm crying while I'm cummin tbh 

I don't want to spoil lyrics, but the part in In My Feelings where she critiques her dating choices, I can't even handle it. The word choice, the way she sings it... it puts me in MY feelings. I think she's being part sarcastic and part honest about some of the trashy men she's been with... In My Feelings sort of reminds me of FMWUTT in spirit and other kinda sarcastic songs from UV. 

In My Feelings immediately struck me as a stand out track even on the first listen so I'm surprised so many people aren't feeeeeeling it. Taste is so varied, it's quite interesting reading everyone's opinions!

This is iconic as fuck. Can't wait to watch it.
