Crimson and Clover 22,596 Posted December 4, 2019 If you're driving to Malibu from LA you can go through Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon and then take the 101 to Topanga Canyon and then get to Malibu from there, and then go down PCH to Santa Monica/Venice Beach!

AnarKissed 281 Posted December 4, 2019 You could try visiting the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Although, since it's a private club, unless you're a Member or know a Member, it may be tricky to get in...
evilentity 13,351 Posted December 4, 2019 I'll add some other suggestions later, but you could do worse than using this article and its handy map as a starting point: https://www.lamag.com/culturefiles/lana-del-rey-norman-fucking-rockwell-la-map/ https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1PJSKPeFqaYqPRhtW7Ncmlh3hW0yjiRNw&ll=33.9765645055339%2C-118.48674829999999&z=10 0 Quote Stalking you has sorta become like my occupation. Lad 8,801 Posted December 4, 2019 Don’t forget to drive while also recording Instagram stories to get the full lana experience
anwdelrey 9,272 Posted December 5, 2019 Rent electric scooters @ Venice Beach (they’re easy to find) and then ride to the mural. I did that and it was cheap and fun. The Malibu Pier is really nice and it’s close to Topanga which is fun to drive into and roam around.
Anthem 1,559 Posted December 5, 2019 @@HoneymoonDaddy Off the top of my head, beyond what's already been posted: Sunset & Vine - its a pretty normal looking intersection though Mel's Dine In on Sunset - her Honeymoon billboard was here Chateau Marmont - really close to Mel's drive in. not sure if you can go inside if you aren't staying there, but you can see it from the same angle as the photo in the UV booklet from Sunset Blvd Korean Friendship Bell - you'll need a car, its a little far away, but its a cool place in its own right and is where the scene with the boys in MTWBT was filmed AND you can see the cranes/industrial area of the Long Beach Harbor which is where Fuck It, I Love You was filmed Malibu house - from HBTB, you will drive right by it if you drive to Malibu on PCH, but honestly it doesn't look at all like it did in the video. plz don't break into her house Santa Monica Pier - you can see the Ferris wheel in the UV trailer. in general, Santa Monica/Venice Beach will feel like you are walking through the West Coast video Bel Air - you can drive by and see the sign/entrance to go in. its a neighborhood so there's not really much to see Larchmont blvd - where the cover of LFA was shot Neptune's Net - its in Malibu, the place she referenced in The Greatest as "Dennis' last stop" Wilshire/Pico Blvd - pretty basic roads but she does reference them 101 Freeway in Hollywood - this is where she steps over in Doin' Time Amoeba Records - she's done a few shows here Bonus: Cha cha matcha , Alfred's Coffee in West Hollywood (she was papped there once just hours after I was there rip), your local spin studio I'll have to dig up where the intersection she filmed that one scene in Shades of Cool is, someone posted it not too long ago. The ONE thing @@HoneymoonDaddy and I search for ages for was where Honeymoon was filmed with the scene on the hill. We thought we found it but it wasn't quite it unless the area changed a lot since 2015. So if anyone knows where this is please let us know 0 Quote Goddesses don't speak in whispers. They scream. BoardingSchool 2,922 Posted December 5, 2019 All great ideas; now I want to do a Lana trip! I would especially love to go to Black Rabbit Rose speakeasy: https://www.blackrabbitrose.com/ I assume it's "Black Rabbit in the alley" plus it just looks so old Hollywood glamour to me. I think it would also be cool to do some vintage shopping if you want the 50s-babydoll-dresses-and-beehive aesthetic: https://www.whowhatwear.com/best-vintage-stores-in-la Definitely stop somewhere and get high by the beach. 0 Quote ‘Fucking God bless us all and let’s hope we make it through this.’ ~LDR, Flaunt

evilentity 13,351 Posted December 12, 2019 OMG such great lists thanks everyone I wanna hug each and everyone of you But I have sad news..my USA visa was rejected I have to try submitting another application next year wish me luck everyone That's too bad. Crossing my fingers for you for next year. At any rate, here's some more suggestions for you for then or for anyone else who wants to see greater L.A. Lana sights. Already a lot of great suggestions in this thread. Most of the streets, intersections, and towns I can think of off the top of my head have already been mentioned by others or in the articles I linked earlier. Sunset & Vine - its a pretty normal looking intersection thoughHowever, don't sleep on Hollywood & Vine, mentioned in EMGHW, "Burning Desire", & HIAB. And her song "Hollywood" may mention Bel Air Rd. (I'm not 100% whether she's singing "opera on Bel Air Road" or "opera and bolero".) Also, references to "county line" in "13 Beaches" and "Don't Call Me Angel" are, like the "Ventura county line" lyric in The Beach Boys' "Surfin' U.S.A.", references to County Line Beach on the L.A./Ventura county line near... Neptune's Net - its in Malibu, the place she referenced in The Greatest as "Dennis' last stop"I previously made the case that Neptune's Net might be "the bar where the Beach Boys would go" referenced in "The Greatest", but that Los Angeles Magazine article I linked in my post above makes a good case it could be Chez Jay. Either way Neptune's Net is a place Lana & Barrie frequented and you should visit both. But despite the "We Mapped Every L.A. Reference on Lana Del Rey’s ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’" headline, that article missed a few off NFR. "Bartender" references driving from "here (Topanga? The Canyon?) to Long Beach to Newport (Beach)" on the Pacific Coast Highway at 60 MPH. (Does #Fuckstick know you're speeding?) She also mentions "Laurel (Canyon) down to Sunset (Blvd) in the truck" in HIAB, presumably along Laurel Canyon Blvd. The ONE thing HoneymoonDaddy and I search for ages for was where Honeymoon was filmed with the scene on the hill. We thought we found it but it wasn't quite it unless the area changed a lot since 2015. So if anyone knows where this is please let us know Ah, it would be great if someone knew this. I'll add a couple less obvious ones: I have no idea where it is, but Lana has done a lot of her recording with Rick Nowels, including 85% of LFL (the album), at The Green Building studio in Santa Monica. According to that link, she also did a recording session for "LFL" (the song) at The Village Recorder studio. I was able to pinpoint the exact spot she recorded that first "Coachella" demo on her Instagram. OK. Then I think I know the exact location she took it (perhaps someone can confirm by enhancing the sign): Ann Henck Stewart Memorial Sequoia Grove at Heaps Peak Arboretum. Google street view https://www.hikespeak.com/trails/heaps-peak-arboretum-sequoia-trail-lake-arrowhead/ And of course, check out this whole delightful thread (if I may say so myself) about how Tropico is/was a real place between Griffith Park and Forest Lawn cemetery. 1 Quote Stalking you has sorta become like my occupation.
