Melania Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 the lyrics are so fantastic, finally a pop-song with a different/ deeper meaning, it's so well written.. (of course it's too deep for some cynical bîtches on this forum but whatever) 0 Quote
Cashew Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I don't care whether the song presents a social commentary or not, what matters to me is the cute lyrics video 0 Quote
HEARTCORE Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 The lyrics are the pits omg. The fact it's a social commentary or w/e is even more embarrassing. A Marina tea(no offense Heartcore!).I love you xxxxx 3 Quote
nationalxanthem Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 this song blows. it sounds EXACLTY like this is how we do and its basic katy. if this is the lead single, i dont wanna see what's next from her lol 6 Quote
National Anthem Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I'm disappointed because I was expecting Walking on Air 2.0 I actually think it pretty much is lol 1 Quote
Trash Magic Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 it reminded me of Homecoming by Kanye West on first listen 0 Quote "It's 2011, and we should all be aware of exactly how fast technology is developing" - Lana Del Rey
KillForLove Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I actually think it pretty much is lol The production is very generic Max Martin, unlike WOA which was more of an old-school house vibe 3 Quote
DeadAgainst Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Facebook Momcore with a dash of Joy Division's "Transmission" 0 Quote
Macintosh Manhattan Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Apart from the sort of political lyrics this is just so damn generic and to think I had such high hopes BC of Rise. At least she was trying to be more mature. This will get to #1 no doubt but it won't stay on the top spot for long. Judging by the lyric video, she might be aiming for more indie stuff this time, more like her debut, which might be a bit hit and miss. The song doesn't scream "I'm back," whereas Roar did, which is likely partly why it go to #1. But this is a bit subdued... 5 Quote

Amadeus Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I'm okay with the song, roar was a weak lead single but I'm sure we're gonna get some witness type of songs on the album especially since the lead sounds more mature than roar. 1 Quote
Hundred Dollar Bill Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 it's so boring.. where's the excitement? even a basic song like firework can be amazingly full of energy & passion.. this is weak. 1 Quote
tylerandthediamonds Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 It sounds like an outtake from Prism lol 1 Quote
delreyfreak Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 It's nice and it's a bop and I like the ~subversive political commentary but the actual melody/lyrics overall are still kinda basic. 0 Quote
National Anthem Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I actually can't get over this song. Yeah, it may not be recreating the game, but it's so darn good. I love the dancehall feel so much. 3 Quote
renaissance Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Yeah I'm by no means a Katy fan but I love this bop - what were you guys expecting? It's a cute generic bop 2 Quote
