I absolutely love this interlude! I have always liked it but I have grown to love it more recently because I realised how eerily melancholic it sounds? Like the cat constantly meowing (or like the title says - crying) and the humming and the melody in the end which reminds me of like...surrending in an apocalypse/world ending and trying to comfort someone (probably the cat in this context) with the humming.

This song really gives me huge Lykke Li vibes and it's definitely something she would've had in her debut album Youth Novels or even in her second album Wounded Rhymes (well, probably without the meowing cat). It's so eerie and sad, the interlude feels also timeless for me.
