Friday would be the ideal time to release a single. There's nothing else out right now, it's the middle of summer, there's still high anticipation, and it's presumably two months before the album release. If it is prolonged any more, Interscope is making a mistake.

With a bunch of shit supposedly dropping on 7/10 on Apple Music and global release day, it could get buried

 

ideally the single release would've been announced the day after the tour ended, the single release two weeks later. Promote the single in the US (two late night performances is really not a big deal), schedule the release of the single in the UK for the last week of July with an album announcement, do a small run of European shows leading up to the start of Sept, WW record release on 9/18
