A girl believes she got pregnant through a cassette tape that she wasn't supposed to listen to, when in reality she was raped. The film is very strange, has the contrast of conservative and religious vs rebellious and wild, has the vintage look of the country vs the modern city of Vegas with its night life, has druggies and guys with long hair, beautiful cinematography, wide open roads, surrealism, sexuality, even heart-shaped sunglasses, and the main character will probably remind you a bit of Lizzie Grant visually and just in her weird ways.

 

It's on Netflix if you want to watch it. I recommend it.

I watched it a long time ago and immediately thought of Lana (more Lizzy Grant than Lana del Rey). Especially when the mom kept referring to the car as a horse or something like that, my memory of the movie is kinda foggy now 

 

But it was really good nonetheless
