Maybe our Lana has a "chameleon soul", but she knows what her artistic vision is. Poor Taylor is just a pawn of the music industry. You can see the difference. "Ride" is pure art, this is pure shit.

With me it's always been a weird relationship with her music. The songs are quirky and good mostly. But it's like musical ADD, she can't stay focused on anything for too long. She's like the polar opposite of Lana.

What Lana is saying in this song is she's the product of our popular culture. "body electric" could allude to television, movies.
Originally "I Sing the Body Electric" was a Walt Whitman poem. Then a Twilight Zone episode written by Ray Bradbury.

The song & video are masterpieces. For any of you proposing she should have censored herself(pinball machine scene, the headdress), you people are the enemies of ART.

I hope Lana never capitulates to the prude-ish music industry and keeps every "fuck" and "shit" in there.

The most spine-tingling moment for me is the part in the Blue Jeans bridge where she goes up an octave.

I did get a bit angry reading the Hipster Runoff article in January, but so much has happened since then as to render those "critics" irrelevant. LDR has transcended them.

I read recently that Lana is going to make another mini-film out of "Gods and Monsters" and "Bel Air". That should be suitably epic.
Taylor Swift copies Ride?

You see Lana's art is like Apple in computer/device design. Others try to copy, but they miss the point because they don't understand the IDEAS behind it. They just see the surface and copy that and wonder why nobody cares.
