Did you watch the director's cut? That one made more sense that the original theatrical version. Donnie Darko is in my top 5 movies. There was a sequel that I never watched.
Nope, I watched the theatrical version. I heard bad things about the director's cut, the only positive thing I read about it was the movie made more sense with the director's cut. But I really don't care if it made complete sense or not - I absolutely adore the movie, the theatrical version I watched. I want to get it on DVD!

Liz & Dick premieres tonight on Lifetime - 9pm I believe for the Eastern coast of the US?
Anyone else plan on watching?

Watched "The Night of the Hunter" (1955) - earlier today, amazing film. I really recommend it. The narrative gets messy during the second half of the film though, in spots - but the visuals are beautiful and haunting. It reminds me of German films like "M."
I just watched "Donnie Darko" - I'm not sure what to say, I really loved the film, and I'm trying to 'figure it out' at the moment. But I think after one viewing it might just enter my all-time favorite films, something about it really struck me

How many times has Lana said the word "daddy" in all of her leaked songs, songs on Sirens, BTD, Paradise, and AKA?

What did you think of "Girl, Interrupted"? It's one of my favorite movies. I think I watched it 12 times in a week once.
I really did enjoy it. The scene where Daisy hung herself was haunting, especially with "End of the World" playing in the background. It oozed loneliness and I adore the direction for that scene in particular. Overall I really did like the movie, I think Winona and Jolie really nailed the roles.
Also regarding Daisy's death - this forum has made me more worried about the welfare of her cat than her. :/ Maru...
Also, I thought this might be an interesting question for anyone reading this thread:
Who are your favorite actresses and actors - and why? (Specific films you love of theirs, etc.)
I'd love to hear everybody's favorites.

Madrigal's friendly, extremely intelligent, very well-spoken, and a fun person to talk to about music.

Great job! The guitar of the two songs blended together wonderfully, I didn't even know MH started until she started singing.

Delicious, Jealous Girl, Playing Dangerous... I don't know if Butterflies fits in with the rest, but she sort of raps
Gangsta Boy would fit, in my opinion, with a hip hop playlist. Maybe Put the Radio On & Live or Die?

I just put a few songs into a playlist that have a hip hop beat and sound like a Mix Tape. Pretty much any song Lana "raps" on. If anyone can suggest a few other songs I might have missed, I'll love you 4evah!!
Far East Side Mix Tape
Summer of Sam
Diet Mountain Dew (Demo 1)
Hundred Dollar Bill
Dum Dum (Demo 3)
You Can Be the Boss
National Anthem (Demo 2)
Ridin' (feat. Lana Del Rey)
Spender - Blinkie Mix
What about Delicious?

Long Island, New York? (I think!) (I am most likely wrong)
I can't think of a tough question - so here:
In which songs has Lana said, "Lights... camera..."
