And honestly I can agree with you and say I do get really defensive. I think a lot of it has to do with sometimes I wake up and the FIRST thing I see on Lanaboards is a thread like this or in the Taylor thread people are critiquing, and it can get really heated. It stresses me out and I feel the need to defend Taylor cause I feel like you guys dislike me for being a big Taylor fan sometimes😭.     I get where ur coming from 100%, but trust- I don’t think anybody is going “yo fuck this @ taco truck b*tch” it ain’t ever been that serious!! But I feel that too when I’m getting jumped for saying smth controversial or in the wrong thread 🤣

    tbh I really don’t be paying much attention to which user is saying what, or that people are generally going out of their way to hate on anyone. I mean sure there’s like little drags and shit but it’s usually all fun.

    i- I’ve posted in there dragging her maybe half a dozen times or so and it’s always been when she’s dropping bloated albums or another one of her many million variants… 

    like- insanely obsessed? I’d argue it’s the other way round babes. Going out of your way to defend her & her money hungry tactics while she continues to force feed her fans her next 30 track record or re-recording with 500 variants

    AND stays *selectively* silent on certain issues in the world rn mind you, and consistently tries to block her fellow artists; just to name a handful of things.

     

    TLDR; you thought you ate that

     

    edit to clarify; it’s all love irdc it ain’t serious, but yknow I think majority of the criticism abt her is 100% valid and I feel like most of the drama to do with pointing that out comes from obsessed & overly defensive fans

    This album would be an 8/10 for me if it didn’t have “I think about it all the time”

    And it would be like a 9.5 or a 10 if it was an 8 or 9 track EP tbh. I LOVE some of the songs so much but others sound soooo half baked :deadbanana:


    i just know the deluxe & the remix album are going to gag me tho

    Also it’s so sweet that Lorde posted about how she loved the album literally like within an hour of its release in NZ… she stayed up til midnight to listen to it :defeated: that’s so cute

    id also be here for Girl so confusing ft. Lorde (or Marina.. if the shoe fits!)

    Lana ft on Mean Girls would be insane but also like so far outside the realm of possibility imo.

    i just hope the remix album (if it’s real!) really pulls through and saves some of the weaker tracks on the album (ITAIATT,  Apple, etc)

    that last song on the album (second last?.. the one before 365 or whatever) is so bad like literally so bad I can’t believe she wrote it let alone went on to record it, get it produced, mixed, mastered and put on the record omg.

    I think if you cut the 5-7 not really clubby songs from this you’d have an incredible EP

    I appreciate the variety tho, I think it’s needed in any pop album- diversity in lyricism and sound- but it just makes the flow of the album really fucking strange & throws off the vibe
