I was not expecting Lana to fill my top five songs but im not complaining 

 

the dissonance at the beginning of thunder makes irks me so bad 

awards like the Grammys are funny to me because its always more about payola sales and ratings than actually quality of art ... but what can you do  

 

 

I was watching sher the truth and her analysis of black bathing suit and lie down with me elevated the songs to me to a whole other level... its crazy how great of a writer she is

It sounds too messy and sometimes the vocals are way too loud (Arcadia, Black Bathing Suit, If You Lie Down with Me, Sweet Carolina) and it hurts my ears

 

Overall, I do love the album... But I do agree the execution failed and could have been done much better. 

she said on live that she did everything in one take. that's nice, be as authentic as possible, but the moments in like bbs or Carolina or Arcadia are so obviously flat or sharp that it takes you out of the song.
