The Missing Shade of Blue

The Grammys need a serious overall. Either they enforce that every voter has to listen to EVERY SINGLE ALBUM AND SONG nominated and present a large portfolio comprising their thought, ratings, and votes. Like, I want essays upon essays showcasing that they've listened to all the music in depth. Or, the Grammys just need to admit that it's more of a popularity contest, and that actual authenticity and artistic integrity are not celebrated in the same way that chart performances are.

I also dreamt that she won 3 awards! It was for Best Alt Album, ROTY, and Best Pop Duo lol

Started streaming Ocean Blvd in solidarity but I actually can’t listen to it without crying. This is so much worse than 2019.

It’s my first day of orientation for grad school today and I’m supposed to feel excited but I’m just feel empty inside

Now that you mention it, from the photos I’ve seen she seemed a little subdued.

She literally redefined an entire genre. She changed the landscape of pop music forever. So many people who won tonight would genuinely not be there without Lana setting the blueprint.

I am literally in tears. Perhaps an overreaction but I’m genuinely so upset for her.

This is why I hate the Grammys. Miley deserved to win awards for Plastic Hearts. It’s a great record and was completely snubbed. And yet they’re giving her a Grammy now for the most soulless basic pop song??? THE GRAMMYS HATE GOOD MUSIC.

Even if she wins AOTY I’ll still feel really sour about the whole thing. She easily deserved three wins tonight.
