  1. Saw on a FB Lana group that the triple video was scrapped (with the info that WHF was not the title of the next album). Don't know if it's true, but either way, if she decides it's too bad to show, I'm gonna believe her lol. Her HM video was really dull, the MAC video is really a stain on her videography....

Lana told a fan she met yesterday that didn't think WHF would be the title, but it would be a single from the album. We shall see if that ever comes to fruition

  2. This is a really interesting take. I feel super differently cause I feel like HM is almost more of a fantasy piece - what with all the big cinematic sound and talk of gangsters, sunshine, limousines and saaawwwfft iiiice creeeeaammm :hooker:  - whereas NFR feels much more rooted in reality and earthy. I get much more of an UV vibe from NFR personally.

I def agree NFR is more grounded and less dreamy than HM! A lot of the lyrics in HM I think are the most comparable though, songs like Terrence Loves You and GKIT, Religion and even The Blackest Day seem introspective like the NFR lyrics but with more of a fantastical edge. What makes them seem similar to me is the personality and mood. Musically youre not wrong that NFR is similar to UV, but without the biting attitude the lyrics have

  3. I think NFR is most comparable to HM in her released albums so far. The mood is completely different from UV and BTD, its similar at times to LFL but more in line with HM. Very introspective and withdrawn at times. HM is sophisticated and mature but slightly undercooked (sorry to use that word Lana) and NFR is a bit more fully formed as a mood piece.

I think WHF will continue that but be a bit bigger and bolder with a more UV-like attitude

  4. Is she spending less time meeting fans in first row than she did for LATTM tour? I’m surprised at the lack of fan selfies from her latest shows, especially from the tour lyfe babies who always manage to get one with her.

She is. At Jones beach at least she was only down there for a few minutes, at LATTM it was like the last 10

    minutes of the show

  5. I read it too and I don't recall anything of that nature crossing my mind.

Bizarre. Obviously, I'd like to think that we've got it all wrong, but it definitely seems like that's what she's getting at.

On a much lighter note, absolutely no one will be shocked at her calling her probably-non-existent cover album "Pacific BLUE".

    The quote in question is:

"She is a creature born of trauma, possibly literally, if you take Lizzy Grant's teenage experiences with addiction into account; but certainly aesthetically."

So Powers was insinuating that something had happened to Lana in her childhood to make her and her music the way she is.

What I got from her statement is that she was upset by that claim because a. Her entire identity was equated to childhood abuse b. that insinuation could have an impact on her family and c. she wants to be the one to open up about things she's faced in the past first, not have some journalist suggest it to the world

Maybe she did have a rough time growing up and reading that just really got a gut reaction out of her to react the way she did. I don't think we or anyone, especially a journalist in a published piece, should speculate if Lana was abused as a kid, it's disrespectful.

  6. The stuff she said about Ann Powers really put her reaction in perspective, I thought it was so random for her to have done that. But i get why she was upset at Ann for having basically equating her whole identity with childhood trauma. Her answer made me kind of sad bc it does seem to suggest she had a rough time growing up

  7. Alex and Ashley are indeed talented but they serve no purpose at Lana’s shows other than to distract from her, they just don’t fit on stage. Even during BTD when they’re in the back they’re distracting because they’re like pumping their fists and dropping it low. The music can speak for itself. And yeah at Jones Beach there were a few times when one of them was blocking the view of her, like pretty much all of OTTR. I know it seems to help Lana to have friends onstage with her but they need to go

  8. It is insane how seriously Melanie takes herself and making K12 only available by purchase is an example

Of that imo....she swears on her life she made an Oscar worthy masterpiece. No one will buy it other than hardcore fans and taking it off YouTube just makes it unavailable for new fans of her music to get into. Dumb decision

  9. Just wondering bc i'm nosy lmao did anyone also in the pit see that girl who was getting kicked out by security literally during the first 10 minutes of the set? She was crying and fighting with the security guard pushing her out.. she was coming from the opposite side of the barricade that I was on so I didn't see what happened. I figured she maybe tried to jump over the barricade? Did anyone see what happened?

  10. I feel like Lana is just a bit too comfortable right now and has fallen into a plateau of sorts and her team isn't encouraging her to take risks. Even during LATTM the critiques about the setlist and the dancers were everywhere amongst fans, there's no way her team hasn't seen that at all. I get she's comfortable with the familiarity of this setlist and of having her friends dancing on stage with her but its to the detriment of her performances. I wish her managers would share this feedback with her and push her out of her comfort zone

  11. It is that serious, and honestly yes I would rather her stop doing live shows I literally said so. Her set list doesn’t deliver great live shows. Her shows suck they are a waste of money. I have the right to say that. As a fan who has been supporting her since 2011 in every way possible but seeing her live. I can say her shows sucks. Just like anyone can. Look if you’re ok with listening to butchered lazy performances be my guest. Her vocals didn’t sound great, she looked ok, and the show seemed boring. Also no need to be shady with that comment on the end. I’m not one of the stans that think that paradise was her peak. I even mentioned really liking her shows from 2016. I said it my post that concerts are expensive and time consuming. It’s a slap in the face that she can’t even try.

You’re entitled to your opinion I’m just trying to say it really wasn’t that bad. A far cry from butchered. I think she sounded great and was clearly into performing that night. Her shows are never really high energy but I could never be bored at a show of hers even if I don’t like the setlist. I get feeling disappointed but people are acting like she flubbed the whole show and she really didn’t

  12. It sucks i missed seeing lana in her peak, also sucks I’ll never get to hear her sing any of my faves besides video games if I ever do see her. I had the opportunity to see her in new orleans this year, and I whole heartedly don’t regret missing out. She’s too far up her own ass to actually have a great show. I don’t need to hear her butcher her music. Her concerts are literally just over glorified karaoke night for her. Lana really has some of you pussywhipped if you are getting mad over fans making valid complaints about her shows. Concerts are expensive and time consuming. A lot of people drive HOURS and book hotels even to attend them. If she wants to do these half assed karaoke night type shows she pick smaller venues with cheaper tickets. If she hates doing live shows so much (which I assume she does based off her performances and even stage looks), she should just stop doing them point blank.

She could actually be performing new music people actually want to hear but no we have to hear born to die for the millionth time. We have to watch her do that cringey dance for off to the races again and again and again. I AM TIRED. My favorite shows from lana have been from 2014-2016 when her shows were a little more relaxed. I’m not saying she has to go out with a beat face, big hair, heels, and nails done every show like during the paradise tour. I just want her to look pretty and try at least.

With all due respect its not that serious. The show was still great, she did try. Her vocals sounded great, she looked great. You would rather her stop doing live shows overall then keep doing a setlist which is admittedly tired but still delivers great performances? I would like her to switch some things up as well but as someone who was there I'm so glad I got to experience it. If you hate it so much stop following threads about the new shows and stick to watching videos from the Paradise tour

Aw ur so pretty! I did lol but I lost it smh. What are the odds I was near you LOLLL I had the hat on bbgirl

Omg thank u so much thats so funny! ur a legend ily!! PM me <3

  13. Okay, i’m Back and alive. I got home from the show at like 2 am last night

I got there about 10 am, there seemed to be a lot of people who came early in the morning or camped out. The handling of the queue by the venue was by far the worst I’ve ever seen. It was completely disorganized and total chaos trying to get into the pit after getting wristbands. A lot of people fell or were hurt by others trying to run. But I managed to get barricade! Lana sounded amazing and looked beautiful (I loved her dress). She was delivering vocals for sure. The duets were cute but yeah the setlist was trash otherwise. I felt really disappointed that she only sang 4 songs from NFR.

Also, the dancers were even more annoying this time. They were in basically every song and were even blocking our view of her onstage at some points. They were really distracting and I just wanted them to leave the stage.

Overall I loved the show she put on and I was so happy to be there I just wish she’d have switched up the setlist. It’s super stale at this point
