    This album is literally the culmination of all the music she's made up until this point except maybe Sucker and it makes me sentimental  :oprah:  The critical and cultural acclaim makes me so happy... IT'S A BRAT SUMMER

    Someone on Twitter was trying to play off Haim's Gasoline remix with Taylor as a TTPD song and it made me realize how much I want her to go into that indie pop rock sound. Manifesting that she works with Rostam and Ariel Rechtshaid in the future

    Illusion should've been the second single in January after Houdini idk... and the album should've been released in March with Training Season as the third single the day of the album release :oprah3:

    I'm pretty sure the Love In Stereo video was the one that was shot on film with her in a bathtub wearing a cowboy hat or whatever but the footage "got destroyed." Heavy Metal Heart had a performance video filmed for MTV but it was never aired or something like that, not a music video

    Y'all did too much on In The City! it's a cute little moment you play at the pregame when your girls are finally done getting ready and you take a shot before figuring out who's ordering the uber to the club :oprah3: I feel like it was overshadowed by what we'd heard/known about the album at that moment in time and it sounded like a Crash b-side more than a big rave kinda moment

    This is my first time listening to a full album of hers top to bottom (I've only listened to her singles and popular album tracks) and it such a cohesive record! It feels more reflective/cohesive than her previous releases, which reminded me of NFR/Chemtrails in that way! Kind of hoping Lana's country album is more in this vein tbh. With that being said, it felt like dragged in the middle and maybe could've been a 12 track album, and I wish she leaned into the witchy/psychedelic quirkiness in tracks like Cardinal, Dinner With Friends, Lonely Millionaire, and Anime Eyes more often.

    The gap between Houdini and Training Season, the radio silence between Training Season and the album announcement, the album visuals being completely different from Houdini and Training Season's visuals, half of the album's lyrics being available on the vinyl preorder images... something isn't right about this rollout, or maybe we were too spoiled with how well the last one ended up being for her even in the face of a pandemic and leaks :dua:

    Was not expecting to like this album so much but I genuinely like some aspect of every song! Even the title track in all of its thank u next-ness and the last song with nonna, even though it feels like a last minute track she made so the album had a ~sentimental but positive~ ending

    I am perched since she has a lot of artistic potential but relies on cliches in production and songwriting, but I'm holding out for hope with at least some of this album. Plus We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) is a serve of a title

    If she had held of on showing us any form of the song until today things might be less anticlimactic. Here's to hoping that the album is out by May at the latest  :xgiggle:
