need her to release some sort of demos/alternate versions/unreleased album sometime in the near future. the way she cherry picks melodies and lyrics from other songs/unreleased songs shows that she's continuously looking back for inspiration, so it would be cool to get some "initial ideas" of songs (like tenderly because it kind of turned into heartbeat, or disco darling because the prechorus turned into window's bridge) and some songs she's tried to release multiple times (like eternal summer )!

i just need her to pick up the bpm for this next record pleek no more meandering midtempo songs

she books live shows and looks good for the first time in a hot sec and in return songs from masochism leak... very on brand for her!

after listening nonstop for five days... shadow, after last night, the outro of aeroplanes, and the chorus of psychedelic switch are taking turns being stuck in my head

yes, the loveliest time doesn't have a the loneliest time (song), or a shooting star, or a bends, but this album immediately feels more cohesive than the loneliest time, which had higher highs and lower lows in my opinion. kamikaze sounds like she studied at the tove lo and robyn school of serving, the rostam tracks are adorable, the patrik berger tracks are all career highlights, and stadium love to weekend love is the closing song and encore song one-two punch that i didn't know i needed. even anything to be with you, which i despised when it leaked and despised when i pressed play last night, is growing on me even though it sounds like a mess and a half. carly is truly a gift to the music industry and i hope this record somehow reinvigorates her mainstream success even though i know it won't - but a twink can dream!

ANYWAYS!   

most of the album was made with leland and oscar gorres, so it looks like we're getting in a dream: roman reloaded - the re-up! plus ag cook produced the closing track, which i'm intrigued by

cynthia was never my favorite from drag race but seeing charli go off on her sort of gave me baby release day war flashbacks

anyways! i listened to the album in full and i think my main gripe is that her vocals don't feel as in tune with the songs as the og version. yes, she's 13 years older, but more vocally demanding songs like dear john and haunted sound kind of lifeless compared to the ogs
