    she needs to be freed from her record deal like NOW...the fact that she had to leak some amazing songs just to keep fans tied over until shirt (which is never coming) is so sad

    Melodrama didnt have so much promo bang on. It was all slow and built up.

     

    She is seen everywhere. 

    there is definitely promo happening but the problem is that it's not enough to sustain attention between solar power, which everyone was talking about for a couple weeks after it was released, and the album. it seems like she's compensating for no social media by appearing on popular youtube shows, but the promo overall still feels disjointed somehow. i know she's aiming for quality over quantity, but artists can do that and still have a functioning album rollout.

    anyways i was pretty disappointed in the singles except my future, your power, and nda so should i bother listening? at this point i've learned to get past her whisperings

    releasing the album 2-4 weeks after the title track came out would've been the best move. with satns/mood ring/california release a week before the whole album

    i wish the devil in paradise ep wasn't scrapped. i feel like if it were released it would have gotten them enough momentum to release an album and things would be way different now

    that tyler the creator remix on the reissue was kind of unlistenable...

     

    i thought she would put all of the songs from the wounded rhymes era that weren't on the album (the only, paris blue, ladies love) on the reissue but we got made you snooze instead

    y'all are so upset that charli said she's singing writer's demos...and for what? she did it during sucker, she did it throughout the xcx world sessions, and even during the mixtape and self-titled eras. she never wrote secret, daddy knows, up and down, or femmebot, and even recorded the middle, issues, our boyfriend, and multiple others that she liked but ultimately didn't release. the iconic next level charli wasn't even her song to begin with, all she did was rewrite the lyrics. not saying any of this is bad, but she's released so much material in the past four years that i think she deserves to not write some songs for herself.

     

    angels have weird expectations for charli and get upset over the smallest things...she's a human beinggggggggg

    california is what i expected solar power (the single) to sound like production-wise...she's kinda cute!

     

    i'm just confused about the release of this album...melodrama's rollout felt unnecessarily dragged out and i fear solar power will follow the same fate. there was so much hype around the leak/single release and now it's all gone. she should've released the album sometime in the middle of this month :awkney2:
