i didnt see bon jovi releasing 3 different voice notes to try and claim album sales idk & i’m pretty sure it was only a thing when charli was nearer to #1

    Taylor Swift

but it will. it happens time and time again and the only recurring factor is taylor purposely releasing random & irrelevant variants just when another artist is on the cusp of one-upping her on the chart. it’s just crazy to me that someone who preaches about feminism and being a 'girls girl' will go to those lengths to block other women from getting their flowers at the top spot. it also irks me that she puts on the i’m relatable taylor! schtick when she is quite literally a billionaire putting on a front to milk as many pennies as she can out of her fans. it’s just created this unenjoyable atmosphere of 'X artist is the best because they sold X records' instead of actually caring about artistic output and the quality of their work. it also means artists like lana don’t get the recognition they deserve in the form of grammies (which i know don’t matter, but it would be so validating for lana) anyways said my peace on this taylor deserves lashings because it keeps happening and it pisses me off

oomf said charli could write cruel summer but taylor could not write 365

    Charli XCX

mind you charli opened for her on tour and she still pulls this shit. disgusting tactics.
  5. if it comes from anywhere but ESTABLISHED 'insiders' (think eclitz, boz and (at a push if i'm feeling an ounce of desperation), florida), i always come from a position of not true until it is proven otherwise the fake insiders for clout market has become so oversaturated it’s just boring now like it was kind of funny at first but lets all wear our critical thinking caps and think why would lana say something that cryptic to a fan
  6. so happy we got not one, but TWO ultra themes for it’s big day i used to pray for times like these

  11. why does this read like a rupauls drag race runway critique? 'Your third track, “Chihiro,” I looked it up, it’s the character’s name from Spirited Away and in Japanese it means “a thousand questions.” But when I listened to the album, I wasn’t left with a thousand questions. I got most of who you are through it, and the only pieces that I didn’t get are what you’re going to tell me' but work because ghibli films are some of my favourite films
  12. also i find it quite admirable that she gambled her new-found BTD success after years of trying to get people to listen to her music to chase a complete genre shift to more rock-heavy sound. paid off for her because she made thee best album of all time. she always stays true to herself and authentic
  13. i’m stronger than all my men, except for you
  14. exclusively listening to uv today - let there be light!
  15. 10 years happy decade to the one, the only, the album that changed lives, the album that forged a generation of sad girls and shein-traviolence copycatters, ULTRAVIOLENCE to say this album changed my life is an understatement. thousands of listens later it still sounds as fresh as the day i first put it in my janky cheap CD player and heard the first chords of cruel world. all these years later the emotion and lyricism still move me - lana and dan really spun gold into that record and struck lightning in a bottle because the thought of making something as perfect as this album today seems impossible without going #deep this album is genuinely one of the most important things to happen in my life, and it really means the world to me. i love this album so much and i’m so happy to still be in this community 10 years on. it was my first proper and full pre-release, and the amount of shenanigans that happened at the time was so funny looking back. apart from that, the vulnerability of the lyrics and the rawness of her voice throughout the record are so genuine, and the emotion conveyed is something that few artists can do today. i am so happy lana is still making music and seems so much happier than she did when she made this record, despite how incredible it is. it is a testament to her work ethic, love for her fans and determination to her love for making music that she is out here selling out stadiums and doing world tours TL;DR: - perfect visuals - immaculate presentation - gorgeous promo - etherial music - incredible woman ultraviolence, i love you so much
