    lol thank you. I’m not trying to bring down the mood but Lana has given us nothing so far and there is absolutely no sign anything will come out today. If there is I’ll be happy of course but I’m not very optimistic because there should have been an official announcement already by now.

    It actually has when she released Text Book, WW and Blue Banisters. But that’s what she was angry at everyone and refused to do ANY promotion.

    Giving my first listen to the full album. And she did that. I’m impressed because the singles were a bit misleading because of how pop and accessible/mainstream they sounded. But I’m glad with what I’m hearing so far… it looks like she kept the more experimental and creative tracks for the album. Overall it gives the album a perfect balance. Also I’m here for her digging into more 2000s alternative genres this era… anyone else literally hearing Garbage on Your Age? I can’t wait to share my review of the album on here but need a few more listens first.

    I am so excited for this album to come out. Chemtrails was a bit of a disappointment for me, despite it being one of the best albums out this year. It was not on the level of NFR. But Blue Banisters really seems like a return to form and I’m glad Jack is out of the way. So far, she hasn’t released a single bad track from it and Arcadia sounds amazing (on the level of video games).

    Chemtrails was actually a pretty happy and contemplative album lyrically. Nostalgia and melancholia were still part of it but I found that overall, it’s her least sad record. Even the melodies are almost « joyful » for Lana. 

    Thank God she’s going back to what I fell in love with 10 years ago : pure tragedy and sadness. I’m ready to be torn apart again after the three new songs.

    I still can’t get over how exciting this new era is already. The three songs are excellent. 
    Chemtrails was nice but it kinda of just felt like a subdued extension of NFR. Lyrically I also found it to be Lana’s weakest work to date. 
     

    Also one thing I love about this new era is the lack of promotion/interviews so far. She’s just letting the music and lyrics speak for themselves and that’s so much better. That way there can’t be any more controversies. I actually started loving Lana for that mysterious/removed from the lights attitude and I like that she’s going back to that.

    1. Lana posted something.

    2. Some people like it. Many seem to think the post is problematic. It’s not a big deal

    2. Nobody is cancelling Lana because of this post

    3. We are allowed to think the post is not very tasteful and does not put Lana in the best light, at least according to what I believe is right.
     

    Lana is not God! If she was a friend of mine I would have definitely challenged her over the things she has said in the past year. Forgive me for having higher expectations from an artist I love so much.

    I don’t try to cancel her for anything. I love Lana but equally she’s a human being and human beings are flawed. I think it’s healthy to accept that and I don’t understand why you’re trying to shut me down for simply voicing I don’t agree with her on things. Such a toxic response ugh

    I didn’t call anyone dumb. I said Lana’s posts are dumb which is my opinion and I’m entitled to having it and sharing it. I did say she sounds uneducated about many issues in terms of race/inequality and it has sadly shown in her posts a lot lately. I love her artistry but that won’t stop me from holding her accountable when she posts stupid stuff. I would expect the same from my friends if I did the same thing. It’s all about growing and becoming a more aware person at the end of the day. And the monarchy IS a problematic institution: institutionally racist, misogynistic and classist. So I’m not going to sit there quietly and say Lana’s post was great when it was glamorising two people who are the faces of it.
