  1. I know Lana will go full on jazz one day… I wish that was coming sooner than Country.
  2. It’s 100% not a real gun but it gets all the gays talking and she’s so living for it.
  3. She’s 100% doing it for attention. I doubt it’s even a real fun to be honest.
  4. Lana definitely loves starting a controversy even though she claims she doesn’t. I’m pretty sure she’s claimed she doesn’t support guns before.
  5. Praying for Lana for all categories of course. But her best chances to win if any are for Alternative music album and for Candy Necklace. Im really hoping she’ll leave with a statue this time cause quality wise, none of the other pop girls have had better things to offer. It would actually be so unfair if she leaves with nothing. Additionally, Lana has allowed for sadness to become mainstream. All the other girls who’s she’s nominated against have reverenced her as an inspiration for their music. It’s ridiculous how underrated she’s been…
  6. I’m confused as to whether it will be a cover album or original songs?? I’m not excited about the fact that it’s country… it’s not a genre that I particularly care about but I’m confident that Jack and her turn anything into gold. So I’m sure it’ll be good, especially lyrically and vocally. I’m glad we are getting another album just over a year after Ocean Boulevard. How does she get so prolific with her heart and with that level of quality ? It’s so unheard of.
  7. I don’t want to be pessimistic at all but I don’t trust the Grammys to recognise the quality of Ocean Blvd. The issue is these kinds of ceremonies are just a popularity contest and sadly, the other pop acts have an advantage over Lana.
  8. I actually think Ocean Boulevard is her best album and it’s above NFR for me. NFR was her breakthrough critically speaking with the press. But with OB she has just transcended everything for me… the album reaches a level of spirituality and maturity above all her previous records. Lyrically it’s above NFR for me. I’m manifesting her taking the Alternative album award and the Best song/Duet with Candy Necklace…
  9. 5 Grammy nominations is a lot. She’s definitely taking at least one trophy home.
  10. I agree that Jon’s voice sounds way too polished compared to Lana’s. I think it would have sounded totally out of place on Ocean Boulevard.
  11. I actually love the lyrics to this song. And I definitely think it’s about Sean too. LOL when people ask Lana to go back to doing “bangers” I never know what they mean cause it’s not like she’s ever had any??! unless they mean BTD… if that’s the case, I’d rather listen to Life Lesson all day long 😳
  12. Oh I love her wordy stuff actually 😂 this is what makes this track better than Hollywood Bowl imo
  13. After a few listens, I would say it’s actually very good. It’s just that every track of Ocean Boulevard was literally a 10/10 for me so this just feels like a nice addition.
  14. So my opinion: on first listen some parts of it almost sound a bit cheesy. It sounds almost too happy melodically for Lana to sing this. If i had to compare the song to anything outside of Lana, it kind of sounds like a classic piano Billy Joel song to be honest. It’s pretty and their vocals are great but 100% think it did not belong on Ocean Boulevard.
  15. I think what we need is : - an album of her best unreleased songs - a brand new album: for me a more jazzy sound with lots of collabs from the Jon Batiste sessions. I wouldn’t mind Lana going back to a surf sound either (in the style of Ultraviolence but maybe less dark - with a more uplifting/meditative vibe).
  16. Apparently they have a lot more songs they have recorded together. Candy Necklace is probably my favourite song on the album so I’m really excited to hear this new one.
  17. I mean with regards to Byron and other band members, you seem to make a lot of assumptions without knowing anything really. No one knows what happened backstage and again I don’t think it matters that much now. I do agree that she should have been on time but she obviously didn’t think she would actually get cut off and I’m sure she didn’t mean for any of this to happen the way that it did. Of course she could have handled it better but it’s done now. And when I say that she was great, I mean also the whole show (dancers, staging and musicians) not just her voice.
  18. Are you referring to when she asked to redo White Mustang?
  19. Honestly. 30 mins is really not that bad and she was the last act. I think they did her dirty by cutting her the way they did. She apologised many times for being late. I mean of course she should have been on time but half an hour is really not the end of the world. Would it have drastically affected everything if she was given an additional 20 mins ? Glastonbury should really factor additional time (for lateness or even technical issues because the truth is you never know what can happen backstage on the day) in their programming but they’re probably just trying to save loads of money and profit from already very expensive tickets. Regardless of this issues. She was amazing and deserves all the praise.
  20. She was the last act tonight so I’m surprised they did not let her continue for just one more song. It’s kind of awful how they cut her. But she handed it gracefully I would say and it felt kind of iconic. Also despite being late, I think her vocals delivered tonight. She did really good!
