My very in tune natural intuition says lasso is cancelled and she is working on a completely new album which includes Tough🦋 but Henry has been killed and buried 🪦 this is only the beginning of an excruciating album rollout which will rival NFR but gain her insane critical acclaim very much mirroring the success of Born to Die which will reframe her perception in the public eye.

I saw Miley is releasing an album soon but won’t put out any singles. Billie and (I think?) Taylor just did this for their new albums. I wonder if Lana would follow this route for Lasso

It's pretty clear Fly Away was registered first because she wants to surprise drop it tonight at midnight while she edits the Tough music video on her iPhone

Drunk thought: She makes so much music constantly maybe she was just collecting some of the more acoustic / stripped down songs she’s made over the last few years for a country album when she saw the winds changing towards country. It’s hard to believe she’s been making a strictly country album since ~2020 with a cohesive soundscape and is now changing her mind because other artists are going country?

I love nearly everything she puts out but please do not let Lasso sound anything like Blue Skies. That song sounds like the 1920’s version of this gif (derogatory)  

I’m going to Men in Black this interview from my mind and pretend like we’re still on track for a September release 

This is the second time she’s mentioned the new music being in the vein of American Songbook songs which I still don’t really comprehend but pop off still holding out hope Tough🦋 will come in June even if the album is delayed

Finally a question about Lasso even though the answer left me with more questions  She said in her speech yesterday she has off years where the muse isn’t as strong and she doesn’t feel as inspired as other periods. After opening up so much on COCC, BB and Tunnel maybe she’s not exactly sure where to go next and that’s okay. She should take the time to experiment with her ideas and music instead of rushing…..even though according to her this has been three years in the making
