Not sure if this was posted:

It's an imaginary (AI) song for Lasso. Honestly, if this was a lead single (with better vocals from Lana), I wouldn't mind this direction at all.

It's giving Tarantino, it's giving Kacey Musgraves, Nancy Sinatra, and it's fabulous.

This is so good, it’s scary. I need this sound for Lasso

if we’re getting lifeguards and alligators we’re definitely getting something :blush3:

When she and Nikki Lane come out tomorrow dressed like Siegfried and Roy, and instead of taming tigers, they have alligators on leashes.

We’re getting nothing tomorrow, but I’m loving her energy right now. Can’t wait to hear her sing Bartender in front of her mirror while life guards and alligators move around her

Reverse manifestation I see you  :rihanna:

  4. Here are the lyrics they teased:

Tough like the scarf on a pair of old leather boots
Like the blue collar, red dirt attitude
Like a .38 made out of brass
Tough like the stuff in your grandpa's glass
Life's gonna do what it does
Sure as the good lords up above
Cut like a diamond shining in the rough
    Tough

what have the insiders teased so far about Tough?

As far as I know, below is all the ATRL insider has said:

    • February: they stated Lana had recently recorded a song with Quavo and it may make the cut to be on Lasso
    • Last week: they revealed the title of the collab is Tough (a couple days before Quavo posted on his story with the caption "Tough!🦋"); is country/trap/laced with Lana vibes. They also posted some lyrics but I can't remember them right now. I think they also said the song is around the 3 min mark?

  6. I love the theory that the end of a Lana album somewhat predicts what’s to come on the next record whether sonically or the themes she explores in the last few songs. Get Free touches on revealing her true heart and nature which lead us into more diaristic lyrics on Norman and some of her most personal stories ever (not to mention the seagulls and waves which transition perfectly into Norman’s more nautical theme). Norman ends with Hope which I think is her most personal song ever which then transitioned us into COCC where she continued to go deeper and confront her past experiences and trauma that lead her to where she is in her life. Ending with For Free solidified the fact that she does what she does for art’s sake and nothing more. I kind of consider BB a mixtape so I won’t try to bridge the two but ending BB with a song dedicated to her sister and first born niece ties in nicely with exploring her family on Tunnel. I may totally be rambling and making connections where there are none but I would love if Lasso continues the almost patchwork like nature of Peppers and Taco Truck. I’ve had both on repeat the last few days and the two songs blend different samples, sounds and textures (Tommy G sample, the surf rock, VB demo, Trisha monologue) seamlessly. They sort of remind me of songs off Life of Pablo which I’ve always loved for how innovative K*nye weaved so many sounds and switch ups in one song. Plus, they’re just so fun and have this playful energy from Lana I haven’t felt in a while. It seems like she has truly been enjoying herself lately and I think that’s going to be reflective in this album. I think country will be the predominate underlying theme but I could see Lana weaving so many other genres into the album (maybe even multiple genres in one song) to make a really experimental tapestry of an album totally unique to her.

TLDR I want more songs like Peppers and Taco Truck :thumb:

  7. Silly but the pinecone wreath on the door is cracking me up :thumb: Looks like these 2 superstars walked up to a random suburban porch and snapped a pic for their single art. I’m 50/50 on whether I think this is for Lasso or Quavo’s new album. She seems to be in a really fun, happy place right now, enjoying her life and career highs and I’m excited to hear it translated in the new music.
