i don't think shes overreacting one bit. i'm pretty sure we were as excited as she was when we found out that she cracked the top 20 (especially because its her first top 20 since doing it) also getting a great chart position will hopefully lead to an actual album release, or at least more of a budget for future tracks/videos, so there's even more of a reason for her and us to be excited

ugh ladies i FINALLY got my account back after i forgot my password back in july and WOO lemme tell ya these past few months in the charli fandom have been wild!! i went to the sydney pop 2 show and then met her a few days after @ the meet and greet in newtown (@ i'm the one who said hi when we were in line) oh and rnr+taxi finally leaking was the cherry on top it's good to be back

ok but the monthly drops make a lot of sense from a label point of view? we've heard that atlantic has been having issues keeping up with the current direction that music is taking, in terms of streaming over sales, so the best way to target that is to have an artist drop single tracks, but constantly? Like, each song will stick around in people's recommended listening and top hit playlists for the month that they are out, before being replaced by the next single that gets dropped (or even better, the latest release gets played alongside the month before's) It might have taken miss charlene a while to agree to this with the label because shes used to doing albums/mixtapes, but based on the success of the last two mixtapes (and the fact that she was able to unload 20 songs in a year (as well as whatever she leaked on purpose)) shes has become comfortable with slow but steady releases. It also could've been delayed because of the amount of time she spent songwriting at the beginning of this year. Finally the fact that she is touring with taylor for the rest of the year, so she doesn't have a lot of long periods of free time, so monthly releases sounds like the most organised and non-stressful way to go about it.

has anyone heard if the girls video is still coming out? i feel like the negative reception that the song/lyrics got pretty much overshadows all the hype they had for it (plus the video is pretty shit??? rita looks like she put no effort into lipsyncing/moving, charli's part is great except the video filters feel out of place, and i'm not even gonna start on the other two's)
