Charli writes so many songs she should do like an entirely separate EP, before the album, of songs that didn’t make it, so they can still come out and still build the hype.

It’s that “assembled” and polished up, super commercial kind of pop music… just if it was good. Even taking old hits and samples and reusing them in a completely obvious way, but it’s still somehow not even half as intrusive or corny like the ones that actually DO land in radio rotation. It’s the Charli effect though… all of her more commercial-leaning stuff just has that little bit of something extra that makes it all the more enjoyable.

I think we need more Fred again..!! His solo stuff in recent years has been absolutely stellar.

Mothers….. You know I have always wondered if those shots of her in front of the rectangular arrangement of white lights, with the dark backdrop, was a reference to The 1975 at all… this was all kind of within that same window of time too… a cool coincidence at the very least.
