  1. As far as I'm concerned I WON I'm only praying you like Yosemite after all the hours of worship. I sure am perched on my tip toes for your reaction a moment for the books
  2. Another day of refreshing the thread for Lana tea just to stay updated to the girls' latest meltdowns, catfights, false alarms, manifestations, sleuthings, Dealer musings and gif spams. I love it.
  3. Maybe I was hallucinating but I can remember so vividly Eclipse posting about how bad Yosemite was years ago. I remember him using the word 'desert' to describe it. I just can't find that post and nobody seems to remember it
  4. I totally agree, I'm always stunned at her previous productions. Honeymoon especially, everything just sounds so meticulously designed to perfection. It's an expertly crafted record, from start to finish Meanwhile the NFR and COCC soundscape just sounds so coincidental and nonchalant, like an impromptu live performance in a studio setting. There's just not much to it, which so far has been underwhelming. It's a little bit lazy... I get that's the vibe they're going for though, and apparently it has resonated with a lot of people. I do still have high hopes for the record as I've ditched any expectations for flawless production (she herself has said the album doesn't contain that). I'm much more looking forward to the mood + melodies. As long as it makes me cry I'm good
  5. But that's when the real process of falling in love with the record starts. March 19th isn't the end date of COCC, it's really the beginning I'm so looking forward to experiencing life alongside Chemtrails. I just think of all the uni work and assignments I still have to finish before the record drops and I get upset. It would all be so much more bearable with COCC as the soundtrack
  6. Good. I'm pleased with her not getting a #1, looking at how she's treated this era.
  7. Mhm, I bet my life on it coming tomorrow. The site always said 26th, and it still says 26th. It just wasn't specific about what time on the 26th, so people naively assumed it was a local release in NZ at midnight. Now all these dramatics about it not coming out until the 12th or 19th
  8. Lust for Life is the only LDR album that hasn't aged like wine, imo. That 'trap beat' aesthetic just feels a bit too forced, it doesn't have the same timeless quality as the luscious reverbed guitars or sweeping cinematic orchestras from her other albums. It's still a beautiful album though, some of the songs stand very strongly on their own. LFL is gonna hit very hard when the late-2010s nostalgia starts kicking in, tbh. I'm calling it if we're still alive in 10 years
  9. I enjoyed binging this - one of those shows that's so bad you can't stop watching. One of the worst character development and writing I've ever seen on a Netflix show. So predictable too, you could smell the plot from a million miles away.
  10. Loved reading this (again). I miss getting high to honeymoon, it truly was like escaping into another dimension I had a messy break up and for a while I found true peace getting lost in this record.
