Indeed! We honestly can’t complain with Lana: unlike Madonna (who took acting and writing children books), all of Lana’s endeavours are related to music (the most « far-fetched » from music is her poetry.. which lead to audiobook that complement very well her discography). We are lucky to have her.

I’m pretty sure the lead is just a couple weeks away. Ben posting it’s near completion - when he didn’t even need to - was a good sign.

I remember she posted the tracklist and cover of COCC on a Sunday… but I don’t remember if it was the case for any other of her albums Is Sunday really her fave day to announce things or you’re just manifesting?

Born to Die: when I first heard the lyrics to that one, I thought : « Bich is talking about me. » I feel so alone on a Friday night/ Sometimes love is not enough, the road gets rough, I don’t know why / let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain / scared that I couldn’t find all the answers, honey: all these lyrics I have felt for so many years before she sang about them. Venice Bitch: my fave songs from her have always been her trippy ones, like Cruel World. So when I heard she had gone all in with the trippy vibes, it was a dream come true, and at 10 minutes at that! Plus she has that corny line that summarizes how I envision love : Give me Hallmark, one dream, one life, one lover. Fuck It I Love You: this is how I feel: I like to see everything in neon. And I’m well aware that it’s not always a good path to be on. The Greatest: that song kept me insane through the pandemic, helping me process all that was going on in the world. Chemtrails over the country club: this is how I am trying to live my life these days, to find beauty in simple pleasures or when I am in peace with my life (not everyday, but I guess it’s normal). special mention to the whole UV album that accompanied me though a real bad breakup and HM that was my soundtrack in the months leading and following my mother’s death.

I don’t think she needs to tell that specific chapter of her life again (BTD has a couple of songs about that period and she knows we have access to AKA and many unreleased from that era) and she sure hinted at the trauma / troubled relationship she had with her mother at that time A LOT on BB. Besides, she is now in her thirties : like many people at that age, I’m not sure she feels the urge to relive that part of her life that much. Sure, some memories come and go and old pictures remind us that time flew by, but to to dive back into that part of her past for a whole album? I’m not sure.

Just posting a friendly reminder that not everything she posts is about the album / future releases. I keep that in mind not to be disappointed.

It feels like Sophie’s Choice.

The only thing we know won’t happen, when she releases the album, will be: « Guys, I think it’s her last one before going away for good ». Gurl has at least two albums and an audiobook that are surely well underway.

Just woke up to what will be our new fave game for the following weeks: Whose Ian was she talking to? i swear, this woman doesn’t know what she does to us, when she casually drops a name like that. Maybe this Ian will be for another project? Since COCC and her promise of cover album, she’s been more mysterious than ever, with what will be the « next album ». I know we want an IG announcement of LDR9 or 10 (even the number is now weird ) or snippet, but I really would prefer a whole magazine interview with photoshoot, something that would give us more clarity about her upcoming projects because she’s been all over the place, with her albums these passed two years, working on everything at once and giving small hints that don’t go anywhere.

Maybe her nail polish Colour can give us some clues

Happy bday, LB!!! we’re a crazy bunch for sure, but when we work together and put our FBI skills at task, it’s completely crazy the amount of info we’ve been able to gather with each pre-release era. Love browsing for Lana news everyday and exchanging with you guys.

September is here… and God, Mariners and Venice hit so much more differently on that month. They truly are two of her best songs ever. I’m falling in love again with them (not that I fell out of love, maybe just even deeper?)

At this point, after how many album releases?!? I don’t believe in «signs » anymore, regarding her music. Could be, could be not, I don’t know.

These are all true, sadly. And yet, Interscope shouldn’t look at the number 1 spot as the ultimate goal with her: both BTD and NFR didn’t début at number 1 but are her two most streamed albums. And I’m not even mentioning how those two are still iconic years after their releases (BTD even more, with its still going run on the Billboard 200 - TEN YEARS after release )

She acknowledged NFR’s birthday 🎉 thank God for someone tagging her so she could repost I do wonder if she remembers when her album have been released, what’s their precise dates…

Hope sure is amongst her most poetic lyrics. The Greatest also (the outro ) Blue Banisters / WFWF Off to the Races has some of her best writing. Mariners is clever as hell, but maybe not the most poetic lyric-wise. Heroin is pure poetry.

The surprise release route is not very likely in my mind at the moment, regardless of Lana’s success with physical releases: both Beyoncé and Taylor, who are both in the top female singers, didn’t surprise release their newest album, going with the « short prerelease with one vinyl in preorder »route rather surprise drop like they did with the last two albums. however, the lead in September makes a lot of sense for Lana, with a second one with preorder in November?

It’s probably why I don’t discredit that account: im not on any other forum other than LB . I do know that they never are the « main insider » to any artist. Anyways, their Lana news are all over the place and come from everywhere and nowhere, including LB and anonymous d**ree posts

I wouldn’t discredit that account completely for some singers… just not Lana. That account seems to have a lot of sources for their « info » (some legit and others, well, that don’t come through or are very sketchy). When it comes to their « Lana news », I take it as a rumour and nothing more: could be true, often isn’t. It’s not the first « source » to say she is focusing on poetry since the beginning of the year… I wouldn’t hate it, if we got the audiobook before LDR9 (highly doubt it though).
