  1. maybe… You’re right about that post not being anything groundbreaking (if BoZ says it’s coming before end of year, she has to do something this month), but I kinda like the « pseudo confirmation » it will happen this month.
  2. Not that it’s any « real » news, and y’all probably gonna say it’s bullshit ( i swear, sometimes, this site…), but I prefer this to nothing at this point.
  3. I got back to work last week and have not as much time to lurk here daily, and yet the thread always has 50+ new posts when I open it. I can’t imagine how fast the pages will multiply when she does announce something for real (classic Lana she served us: birthday posts, selphies, à pic with the producers… and radio silence).
  4. Well he better have better tastes in cover art than for her music Seriously, if the alt Cover is as beautiful or better than the standard one, I mean ?
  5. I’d say realistically this album has 13-14 tracks. the more Lana the merrier, but I don’t really wish for a deluxe version, with those damn Target exclusive tracks or some other retail store that gets the goods. I hate when the deluxe tracks are better than some on the OG version (looking at you, Lorde, and even to some extent, you Halsey - though I love her latest).
  6. It’s so crazy to think that this album is only TWO years old… It’s as if we’ve had that album for five years or something. I love getting back to it this time of year. I love each and every track from it. And yes, Conséquence of Sound is right, claiming that VB is the best Jack Antonoff song he ever produced, calling it a « golden fever dream that you wish you’d never get out of ». To me, Norman is a polished and more cohesive version of what she was aiming at with LFL (even though I do love that album as well). It’s cohesively diverse, and each track is its own landscape. I don’t think that Lana can release a bad album, Even though some are more loved than others, but Norman will forever be a tough contender to beat as her best.
  7. Is anything impossible at this point? Haha! i wonder if the tracklist changed much since July, when BoZ told us about the changes that happened over the last months. At That time, he said there were no Jack nor Rick tracks… and wasn’t RBFY co-written with Rick? Maybe it changed again… It’s true that that song would fit the vibes of the album (so far).
  8. I am so glad that Halsey’s latest is brilliant : it will tide me over until Lana announces something. by the way, I never liked Halsey, but If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is mostly a Trent Raznor / Atticus Ross album, and it is so worth a listen. To all of you who are fed up with folky minimal production, IICHLIWP is miles from that. And the visuals are ???. Lorde kinda disappointed, but Halsey didn’t. I’m sure I’ll be able to enjoy Lana’s BB much more because I am been fed with an album with bigger production.
  9. I don’t think you missed anything. All the news we got yesterday were fake. Her silence is making people go
  10. This thread has gotten really weird, even for LanaBoards
  11. What?!? does it sound interesting or nah?
  12. My guess for this album is that it’s always been « let’s revisit the past », and going back to a lot of older material, something between new compositions, unleaked songs, unfinished demos and leaked songs. Maybe this is why she thought she would be done by June 1: she didn’t have a lot of new compositions. But it’s her and she’s changed her idea (not that I am complaining at all: I’m glad we’re getting more unheard songs; if she wants to go down the unreleased collection with leaked songs, don’t go half ass like RCS seemed to be at first). As for the singer songwriter vibes she entered with Norman, she’s always been a great lyricist and songwriter, but the production was bigger, and the whole «folky- singer-songwriter »vibe is usually more minimalist, like she began exploring on Norman, and in the US, is often associated with the Laurel Canyon movement of the 60s, which she channeled a lot with both Norman and Chemtrails. I don’t know if it always was the « goal » to her career or if it’s something she found herself down that path unintentionally, but her latest songs often are closer to that early career vibes of singing in bars, IMO. She’s always been very personal with her songs, no matter what the aesthetics, and there are songs in her latest records that could have been on BB (Change, hope, God Knows I Tried, love song, Heroin) because they fit that vibe.
  13. I could kiss you both I’ve been saying this for years now lol. Totally agree that we don’t have to worship the ground beneath her feet with each project she puts out, but Geez, when someone hates everything she did since HM, it’s time to return your Stan card indeed, especially if that person comes back here and floods this thread with negativity. I don’t think she is uninspired at all: since Norman, she finally entered the stage of her career that she wanted, to be a singer-songwriter, which is the closest to her early career (before BTD) that she’s ever been. As for BB, I can’t wait to hear this project in full. It shifted so much over the last months and the release of the three singles is the first Lana project that I’m not obsessed about upon release. Love the lyricism, love how « minimally diversed» the three are, but it’s the same vibe as Hope, one that I need to be in the mood to enjoy, rather than play it in my everyday life.
  14. It’s an outtake from the album? are the bonus tracks available on CD or vinyls, or they were just leaked? edit: nvm, a quick Google search answered my questions
  15. ? This has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now!!!
  16. It was from her latest Insta post, where she is « presenting » the producers of BB…
  17. I never loved Halsey, but this is so fucking good!!! finally some big production in alt-pop, and not that folky minimalism!!!
  18. What are we looking at? What was this taken with? A flip phone?
  19. Gurl, same!!! BoZ’s first posts about this album had me so hyped and now that I know what he was excited about, I’m so fucking glad she changed her mind and decided to go to some unfinished demos or unheard songs and not six we already have.
  20. I can’t remember who, but a couple weeks ago, an insider said BB was the sister to Paradise, and that it had a long tracklist. Not so sure when this was said, if it was before or after what BoZ had said back in July.
  21. She said that Malibu was the most personal? / revealing? she’s ever written at the time… but with the three singles that were out + hope + white dress, I wonder if we would find that song as revealing as she felt at that time. I mean, she goes pretty deep and dark on hope, same with Textbook and the second verse of Wildflower Wildfire… ?
  22. Lol the obsession for Boom Like That here… but I must say it’s infectious : I began liking that song
  23. Does Malibu even exist anymore? Didn’t she say she deleted it (probably so no one could ever find it ans leak it)?
