It’s true. And yet, with miss Del Rey posting whenever she wants, even he, who knows a lot, can be taken by surprise (the July 3 post…). Nonetheless, he could share a tiny bit of something anyways…

It’s good that the whole music industry is buzzing right now with new releases: it’s perfect distraction for the lack of news regarding BB. I know I must sound a bit ungrateful, but thank God Chemtrails wasn’t that far away, because we have nothing to hold onto with this project except her posts. No interviews, sparse posts from her, No one seems to know what is going on….

We really are grappling at breadcrumbs, here huh She has to do something by Labour Day if she doesn’t want all hype be killed for this project (this might be an interesting question for another thread: How long does it take to kill all hype for a project? Norman and Violet were two great contenders in the matter).

The same Insta account that published the rumoured tracklist made a second post, saying it was debunked. I don’t know where they got confirmation that it was, but there are a couple of good titles but many that sound fake AF.

I hope it’s a long tracklist, between 14 and 16 songs, if we’ll have heard at least 4 songs before release and very possibly 6. Any song with bird on it would be nice: Songbird, Bodega Bay, Birdworld… (ok maybe not Bird Shit)

They are not bad… I have the feeling that they do talk to many people in many artists’ entourage. So depending on who they talk to, it can be 100% right or a little less so… But I’m starting to feel that Lana doesn’t update ANYONE very often in her team and is getting more and more secret about her plans, making it harder for « insiders » to get the tea.

I prefer Chemtrails to SP for numerous reasons, but Jack’s production may seem absent, but it’s actually very rich, just too faded out. Listening tot he instrumentals, with a pair of good headphones, made me realize how many layers the songs have, we just don’t hear them. Anyways, the songs I love on SP are the ones that have a lot of production (Mood Ring, Path, Fruit, Hold No Grudge, Oceanic); but the ones that feel like demo not only are very short, but do have that « muffled » prod that doesn’t blend well with the rest of the songs. This might be how I will listen to the album now. Thanks luv.

Trail of Tears is weird… With Love sounds uninspired. Oct 22 seems a bit too early… I don’t know, but I’m not trusting this until further proof.

A shop? Genius has an October 29 release date (or had this week), although anyone can edit Genius. I wasn’t aware a shop might have that date as well. If the preorder is coming next week with single, October 29 could be possible, although November is more realistic in my mind (but not a super good strategic date since Adele and Rihanna rumours for the end of year are starting to float around… Not sure if it matters if Interscope wants her to be a full-on singer-songwriter rather than some « pop » singer)

I also prefer Hold No Grudge to HOT, and both are way better than tracks 7-8-9-10 on the standard édition.

At least we can all agree on one thing: the music box is gorgeous. It’s what the Norman box set should have looked like (can’t believe Lana didn’t make one). To me, it’s the other way around: I really like the first five minutes (reminds me of Daddy’s Home), but the last minute with Jack (I think?) feels disjointed to the rest of the song. Not sure about the lyrics though.

You summed it up. I’d keep Stoned for the acoustic side, but the rest could have been on a different album. If she had released just and EP after her 4-year break, we would be all over it. But the middle part of the album seems unfinished sadly.
