I had read something that it would be out between August 2-13. So maybe on the 9th? Or a couple of days before release? This album seems to have a « loose plan » when it comes to singles: we know the order but the dates aren’t set in stone, apparently.

Totally agree with you. However, I felt different in the NFR era, because both MaC and Venice had incredible production, so I could listen to the songs on their own, whether I was in the mood of the lyrics or not. The three singles, just like Hope or Change, have so intricate yet minimal production that it’s harder for me to listen to them « casually », and I have to be really in the mood of the songs to play them on repeat (playing BB on repeat just depressed me in June). These songs could benefit from a short pre-release and not to be dragged on indefinitely. I don’t think it will be much longer for some actual news about this album, but God I wish we knew what the timeline is.

Dont worry, hun, my comment is confusing AF ? I’m on the fence about Colour Blue ending up on BB: i fucking love that track but maybe the album would have too much known songs (it’s always a big part of falling in love with a Lana album, to dive into new songs). Hey Blue Baby is incredible as well. If BB has some country influences, it needs to be there; but maybe the country influences will be on LDR9, with the Nikki duets.

Since Cherry Blossom is almost confirmed at this point, maybe she could include Colour Blue / Wild on You on the album… They do share the same producer and I really love this one, but I’d only want it if the tracklist is very long (with two unreleased on the album and four songs we will have heard if she finally releases Map of LA, another unreleased could spoil the album a bit). Not so sure that the lyrics would fit the album or where she is right now though ?

Let’s not jump to conclusions, plus there’s enough shit in this world already, let’s not bring back the Antichrist in our lives on top of that Joke aside, correct me if I’m wrong, but there weren’t reports or sightings that she had visited him last summer, when we all thought she had. This album is really good, but just like Lorde, I think the singles were weirdly chosen. First of all, I don’t like my future; that theme is way better on the title track and best executed. But I wonder why she didn’t release NDA and Therefore I Am the same day: she released both songs anyways, there’s a smooth transition between the two, they are on the more upbeat side of the album and are stronger as a whole. Plus imagine the buzz around that release of it had been the case.

Since Norman, it’s been harder to get some news. With both NFR and COCC, we had a few interviews to get some tidbits of info, but this time around Even the « insiders » have left the ship (ok, that part might not be so bad, at least for the fake ones, but it’s getting tiring, to hope for some Insta post that almost never comes or never clears the air).

It has to happen somehow somewhere this month… it HAS TO!

I am a very realistic person in life and an album next year is just pessimistic. Her July 4 post is clear for one thing: the rollout is planned. Plus Ben (or Ed?) said the album would be her second this year, so it’s planned to be released this year. I don’t think she wants to sit on the songs very much longer, like she did with Chemtrails. And in all objectivity, the artists making posts this week or the last are all releasing in Sept or October; if she announces everything this week or the next, we should be in for an October or November release.

On that one and the WFWF one, the filter gives her dead eyes that I hate. But it’s true that she doesn’t seem to be bruised all over on the TB one. My fave though is the RCS cover, without any disturbing filter.

Ouf the energy in here about the piano ballads and minimal production… I must say that I was a bit disappointed at first by the direction of the album. Partly because Chemtrails was so quiet and partly because of my expectations for a summer / revenge album from her. but I am now ready for whatever she wants to throw at us, musically speaking. I have « buried » the summer album from her (Lorde will probably have more chances of satisfying me in that regard), and enjoy Billie’s last record for bigger prod and am looking forward for Halsey’s LP as well (can’t believe I’m saying that, but a Trent and Atticus LP is enough to possibly make me enjoy it). Are those artists Lana? No, and I won’t be as « happy » with those as I was with Norman (her last « big » album), but BB has a surprising direction and got me curious.
