If the single cover ends up being disappointing, I will use it as the cover in my library

I really hope it’s still coming next week, but if it is a bit delayed by another week, I won’t be mad since Henry is such an incredible track that keeps on giving with each listen.

Ha! I get it now, sweetie! Wishing for you a brand new set then! Im so glad that the only teaser we got for Henry was the demo 14 months ago and the single cover. It was such a nice surprise, to get to hear the final production without any other snippet

Not to sound rude at all, but why do we think the album has to be out before Wembley? The only show that needed to have songs from the record out was Stagecoach because it is a specific country festival mostly. Her other shows, she can play Henry and Bluebird and go back to her « original » setlist. I don’t have any expectations for her shows since two events: - NFR era, we thought the album had to be out before her festival shows and well, we know how it turned out; - Since her Hyde Park show, where she could have sung so many duets from OB since most of her collab guests were there, playing before her, she chose not to play one. None. Nada. And I mean, I was so sure. She doesn’t do anything like the others. Even her Fenway Park show, as iconic as it is, she chose to debut two new tracks there and none at Coachella.

I should have written that our hype was very high before those insiders said it was boring. Everyday we were begging for Henry although the demo was very acoustic. I was so sure the production wouldn’t be as rich and so I thought we’d be all « this is LMLYLAW all over again ». Candy Necklace was a « letdown » for many here if I remember correctly when the album was released (it is a grower for sure, one of the songs I love the most on the album but I remember thinking it was a bit « simple » at first compared to the others). Don’t think this is happening since they’re besties. I love her work with Jack when both of their « uniqueness’s » meet, like on VB, A&W and many others. But ngl, I prefer albums where other producers are involved too. Ocean Blvd was « well balanced » in that regard and this album (whatever name it will have) could be as well.

This album has a lot of potential when it comes to sales and streaming numbers. Country is huge amongst many North American (and white, ngl) folks. I’ve started realizing how popular that genre was like two years ago… Even here in Canada.

I’m so glad I never gave an once of trust in that date in the first place. Lana and her album dates, when unconfirmed by a preorder…

I’d be surprised since Jack isn’t producing (that we know of). I’m surprised by the way that we haven’t heard a song of his so far.

I’m optimistic since she didn’t say « soon » we know how she is with her album dates haha but her single dates check out.

I’m mostly shocked that although our hype was way through the roof with Henry, for the last 14 months, it not only met our expectations but surpassed them. Candy Necklace and even Tulsa Jesus Freak we’rent met with that much enthusiasm upon release, especially CN.

Yeah like we can’t even be mad about it, the way she said it, right?

Well it’s way better than « soon » last time she said next week, with VB and MAC, it happened so I’m hopeful Me too!!!! Twinsies!!

Two things that make me question if I don’t have psychic powers: - I was a firm believer in the two singles before the show and we’re getting the second single next week although I initially thought I’d be a double release; I say it’s close enough; - Mercury in retrograde has ended Wednesday, which leads to better communication. For Lana, her post, I’d say it applies. I could say that I never believed the album would be out May 21, but that’s just common sense and psychic powers

So which « insider » said Henry was funk?

Although the lyrics are heartbreaking, the whole song feels like a hug. And that line: « Yesterday God told me I was born to be the one to hold the hand of men who flew too close to the sun »

Well, maybe she won’t be stealing all of his nachos but crumbs for sure: Drew has been part of both Lana’s and FJM’s last albums. I don’t expect the jazz sound of Buddy’s Rendezvous that I absolutely adore, but Drew’s work is clearly on Henry, with the strings.
