I think I heard the snippet only three or four times total. I wasn’t impressed by it at first (I even thought the song could be « TOO Lana » in a way), but the melody has something that may be simple but that creeps its way into my head. I wouldn’t be surprised that it could be one of the songs I will sing most often after release.

We will hear Lana songs / poems for a very long time, but Chemtrails might be her last « original » LDR album for a while?! That’s how I feel about it at the moment. The way Chemtrails is a « short » album, the way she says she doesn’t have a « direction » for the next one yet... We’ll have her other projects, her cover albums, but an original one telling a story? Not sure. but keep in mind that the way she handled the NFR pré-release era, I was sure she was done for a while... only for her to announce WHF the day NFR got released

LFL could have been her best era when it came to absence of meltdowns if Love hadn’t leaked so early plus the BAR leak also. That era would have been a total serve . Coachella was a low point of LFL era. And don’t forget Yosemitegate/ Architecturegate (They didn’t make the cut!!!). not knowing the release date was painful (nothing NFR comparable but it was tough at the time)... only to have an ugly tweet confirm it.

I wasn’t an active member here, maybe this is why I thought it was an « event less » era haha! I liked the rollout of the whole album over a short period of time, being all about the music. But when I really began spending time here, in the LFL era, I was kinda surprised that many at the time thought it was a snooze fest... only for them to come back to it after LFL and really dig it.

well said. It sure affects her creative process and the control she gets over the next album. No way she could have pulled a Honeymoon if UV hadn't been success. And because LFL was successful, she had all the creative liberty to pull NFR. That being said, though, I don't know they stand now with her. I wouldn't be surprised if she «had» to release a big single, not in the context of an album, just for her to have a success. Don't Call Me Angel is the only reason I don't hate the the song: it gave her some success while not compromising any album with a song out of context.

They are honestly in different categories. Pop is always the best seller. Plus NFR peaked at number 3... but is her fastest album to reach 1B on Spotify. Don't know how well Chemtrails will do though. The fact that it's Norman's little sister helps, but the singles don't have that much appeal for massive streaming from the GP.

Same! I don't have a very big collection of her stuff to be honest, but I treated myself when I bought that one. Also got the UV and NFR vinyls from UO even though I never listen to vinyls.
