We can say whatever we want about Jack, but his favorite song of all time working with Lana being A&W, after establishing a strong track record of taste with his previous favorite songs he made with her being Chemtrails Over the Country Club, The Greatest, and Venice Bitch, I think A&W is going to knock us all off our feet

unpopular opinion, but the most offensive piano song in her released catalog remains Happiness is a Butterfly. I like the track a lot for some weird reason, but that actually sounds cheap at some points. At least there are some interesting things going on with Beautiful

I'm just so happy longer LDR tracks are back. She is at her BEST creatively when she has the room to experiment, expand, and evoke a variety of emotions in 4:45 and up

This is not a dig at COCC or BB, as I admire and adore both projects, but this album is shaping up to blow those two out of the water and be a career highlight with "Born to Die," "Ultraviolence," "Honeymoon," and "Norman Fucking Rockwell."

I mean it actually does fit the theme of the record imo. I remember BoZ said that much of the album's lyrics are centred on Lana looking for guidance. It would make sense that she made an interlude with a random, chaotic pastor sermon lol

Agreed, I don't think the interlude is something I'll listen to outside of the context of the album, but at the same time, I won't skip it when I listen to the full album either. Kind of like The Trio/Burnt Norton.

I don't know why, but I expected the pastor interlude to be four minutes of him screaming

Ok so from what I am gathering is that there will be a few songs that might not be interludes that are very short, interludes that are longer than we expected (2-3 minutes) but many songs between the 4-6 minute range I remember him saying some songs are much longer than others. I would say we should expect some White Mustang length tracks

Ever since the announcement I had the vibe that this might be her Fetch the Bolt Cutters. I don't see Pitchfork giving this less than a 9. Or less than an 8.5 if we're being very cynical.
