i do recall eclipse being pretty generous with his information regarding cotcc/white dress, so we have to give him credit for that, & the acronyms were iconic

well unfortunately for him i don't form my opinions on music i haven't heard based off of insiders' opinions & i don't even care if it's jack antonoff piano flop 4.0 i'll gladly take any new lana music

i understand the idea of btd, uv, & hm being a "trio" & nfr, cotcc, & bb also being a "trio" with lfl being the threshold point, in my mind, btd/paradise, uv, & hm are like the "old" or "original" lana, lfl is the transitionary point in her discography, & nfr, cotcc, & bb are the "new" lana with a different approach to musical style & songwriting

i wonder what arcadialovesong2018 would say about all of this

as well as... blue banisters (title track) sounding like yosemite & i don't wanna go & white dress being her saddest song i'm not saying their opinions are invalid, i just don't think these are in anyway the general consensus of what these songs sound like

honestly... after christmas... i'm going to take what honeymouns says with a grain of salt...

maybe it's just your personal taste, but i think the songs from this album, such as get naked, perfect lover, get back, everybody, toy soldier, etc. sound like the opposite of generic, the production is fantastic & the vibe/atmosphere of the songs are amazing as well, i really think they're quality pop songs, i actually think they're works of art in their own way which i don't always feel about pop music, but some of britney's work from blackout/in the zone is beyond the usual expectation that pop music is inherently generic/less artistically valuable than other genres of music, if you think gimme more sounds great, maybe try to listen to the album again, because a lot of the songs on this album share that sound, specifically get naked, perfect lover, get back, & everybody i would say their sound is innovative & timeless, even for today, i actually think they feel even more exceeding & innovative now because pop/mainstream music seems so boring & commercialized now, i think pop music in the 2000s was just better in general

i feel like i have lower expectations for her leaked songs, because of the fact that they're leaked, scrapped, older works, so naturally i don't expect them to sound as grandoise & polished as officially released works, so when i listen to a song she recorded in 2009, or a leaked demo, i don't mind the fact that they're a little rough, short, or in general, objectively worse than her officially released songs from her albums, however, some of my all-time favorite lana songs are her leaked tracks, the early trash magic demo, mermaid motel demo, & pin up galore don't have exceptional mixing/mastering, the vocals may be a little bit off, as well as the instruments, but i love them so much & i don't mind the fact that they don't sound perfect
