    I'll start this by saying that I'm a huge iamamiwhoami fan. Her first solo album, Everyone Afraid To Be Forgotten, was cute but the whole thing was so fabricated and it didn't felt sincere at all, and the awful movie that accompanied the project was enough for me to get a little frustrated with her. So I stepped back and didn't follow her as much during this era.

     

    But this album... miss ionnalee fucking SNAPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :defeated:

    Y'all this new album is so so so so so so fucking good! It feels like a return to form. The production is amazing, the lyrics are amazing, her delivery is EVERYTHING, and the whole thing feels like something from iamamiwhoami/Jonna Lee. The album is very cohesive, with a very distinct sound, and while listening to it you can feel how the songs flow nicely together. 

     

    You can also hear some glimpses of bounty in it, even though bounty was a lot more raw and "dirty" (?) while Remember The Future is more polished. It reminds me a lot of BLUE, which is to be expected since apparently a lot of the songs here are from Mouth of a River, but I'm not complaining. I've always wanted to listen to MOAR.

     

    Anyway, the album is killer! My highlights are the singles (Open Sea and Some Body sound so much better within the context of the album, and Remember The Future sounds even better!), Crystal is a MASTERPIECE and Mysteries of Love is a work of art. It should've been the closing track tbh. Race Against and Islander are also amazing instrumental songs, it's so nice to see her serving great instrumentals like u-2 again  :toofunny: i love it.

     

    BUY & STREAM REMEMBER THE FUTURE GIRLIES AND GAYS MISS JONNA LEE SNAPPED AND SHE DESERVES THE RECOGNITION  :defeated:

    Also, has anyone noticed that on the Gov Ball flyer and also in her stage production the other night, it just says "Charli" w/o the XCX? Kinda odd...

    she gonna drop the XCX and start pumping out country/trap based music  :defeated:

     

    Does it bother anyone else that there are two (Official Music Videos) for Spicy on youtube? One on Herves and the other on Diplos youtube channel? I watch the MV on both channels  :deadbanana:

    I just saw an interview where she said she doesn't really have a plan and that she's just been making music she wants to put out, so idk if there's even gonna be an album

    Personally I think Track 10 by Charli is the best track in the world but its not everyones favorite. Try Unlock It.

    I can't believe that out of all the new releases this week Spicy ended up being my favorite  :toofunny:

    So glad Charli loves this track. Can't wait to see her perform this on her tour  :hooker:


    love the guitar btw, the production is so fucking interesting and the drop is definitely my favorite part of the song as this is when twerk my ass and shake my titties the most lol

    i mean she could obviously see that it’s a live recording so i don’t think she’ll think this song has leaked but if it really hasn’t been her singing this whole time i’m gonna be so mad bc it sounds sm like her

    shes just playing with us and i hate her for it lolol

    BloomForYou confirmed it was her a while ago, after denying it was her for a while.

    spicy has grown on me so much i actually love it now

    honestly i am OBSESSED my dumbass has that video clip on repeat even though i have the leaked version LOL 

    it makes me jump up and down and sing along 

    can't wait to get high to it
