Dark But Just a Game vs If You Lie Down With Me

I just received the items I pre-ordered from Lana's US store! The transparent white vinyl, the two exclusive cover CDs, and the red & brown cassettes. (Bad lighting in the photo, sorry.) I also received the Target CD I pre-ordered yesterday too. I'm still waiting on the yellow vinyl I ordered from Urban Outfitters and the signed art cards & CDs from her Canadian store and her Netherlands merchant. I have received notices from both though that it will be delayed, her Canadian store will ship November 12th & Platenzaak NL isn't sure yet. Sounds like that they both will be shipping the CD first and then the signed card when it's ready. I'm so happy! As a collector, whenever I receive merch I ordered, it feels like my birthday (which is ironic since my birthday actually was earlier this month lol)

You're welcome! I ended up telling that girl that Lana spoke about her & sent her a clip of it and she's geeking out about it lol. Looks like she's been a fan for a long time and even went to concert of hers in 2014! x

I can't remember for the life of me what her name was, but I do remember the story as I remember seeing videos of the girl talking about the situation on her instagram page after it happened. Basically, what happened is that she was doing an Instagram livestream showing off her breakfast juice routine or whatever. (I'm pretty sure this girl owns her own or is involved in some MLM juice or wellness brand) and during the livestream, she saw that one of her close friends requested to join her live. When she accepted the request, it was just a nude man. Turns out, this guy made a profile with her friend's profile picture and chose a username so close to it so she wouldn't notice the difference so that she would think it was actually her friend requesting to be in the stream and then accept his request so he could do.. that. If the name comes to me, I'll let you know, but she talked a lot about the experience and the "dangers" of live-streaming and false profiles on her page x EDIT: I found the girl's profile! Lana posted some clips of her performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on her honeymoon account with the caption “Can’t explain how grateful I am for Stephen. He has been such a huge inspiration in my life, a supporter and a wonderful example. Who would’ve thought”

One of my friends is going through a breakup right now and I didn’t know what else to do to help her except for plug Lana’s new album to give her music to cry to LOL. I gave her a playlist consisting of 3 sections to help guide her through it - Blue Banisters, Violets for Roses, If You Lie Down With Me, and Wildflower Wildfire for when she wants to cry about it, Dealer & Black Bathing Suit for when she’s ready to be mad about it, and Beautiful & Sweet Carolina for when she’s ready to move beyond it. (Of course Sweet Carolina makes me sad and cry just bc of how I associate it with my own life, but it’s a happy positive song in spirit) The writing on this album is truly perfect for guiding someone out of a rough time, through every step of the journey, beginning to end. It almost makes me wish I was sad right now so I could use this album as a guide path as I did with NFR, but I’m gratefully among the happiest times of my life. For now, I’ll be listening to this album & reminiscing of all that I’ve gone through and gained over these past 2 years as I pulled myself out of my own darkness x

Speculations so far: - May be a digital release, per a statement she made on an Instagram Livestream on Blue Banister's release day - Jack Antonoff may have worked on this album, as Lana shared a photograph of them in a studio on her @honeymoon Instagram account - Emilie Haynie & Mike Dean may be involved, as they shared a photograph together on Instagram. Keep in mind no reference to Lana was made in this post.

Awh, yay to adoptable dogs Throwback to when I was really going through it in the middle of quarantine last year and almost adopted a dog from a shelter in Romania. Let me try to contain myself to not make any impulse adoptions during this broadcast x
