Um, I don't like this mindset. I don't think it sets a good example for the forum to tell a user who just joined here that "hating Lana is our specialty" because that's absolutely not what this forum is about nor promotes. LanaBoards is intended to be a positive and healthy place for discussion. Of course, all sorts of opinions are welcome even if they lean on the negative or critical side, just as long as they don't cross any sort of line. With that being said, I really don't like to see users encouraging hate. Blatant hate is absolutely not tolerated. There's a fine but very clear line between constructive criticism and blatant hate, and LanaBoards does not at all promote the latter. I still feel weird about speaking publicly during this time, but I just couldn't ignore this message. @@Luisjeescobarb my apologies for the message directed at you, I hope you don't gather wrong ideas about this community and its intentions. x

Not me only signing on and straying away from my internet cleanse for all the Lana news, but she's posted another statement - "A couple of final notes on my "controversial post" that's not controversial at all. Despite the feedback I've heard from several people that I mentioned in a complimentary way, whether it be Ariana or Doja Cat - I want to say that I remain firm in my clarity and stance in that what I was writing about was the importance of self advocacy for the more delicate and often dismissed, softer female personality, and that there does have to be room for that type in what will inevitably become a new wave/3rd wave of feminism that is rapidly approaching. Watch! Perhaps I could've given more context to my post by mentioning the title of the second book that would be out next March called 'behind the iron gates - insights from an institution' I'm sorry that the folks who I can only assume are super trump/pence supporters or hyper liberals or flip-flopping headline grabbing critics can't read and want to make it a race war, when in fact the issue was with *female critics and *female alternative artists who are dissociated from their own fragility and sexuality and berate more sexually liberated artists like myself and the women I mentioned. But in truth making it about race says so much more about you than it does about me - you want the drama, you don't want to believe that a woman could be beautiful, strong and fragile at the same time, loving and all inclusive by making personal reparations simply for the joy of doing it. Nothing new here in your reaction. Same as ten years ago when a million think pieces came out about me feigning emotional fragility or lying about coming from no money when that was the truth. My aim and my message are clear. That I have control of my own story. If the women I mention don't wanna be associated with me that's absolutely fine by me."

popping in real quick again - I'm going to hold off on creating a Pre-Release until we have some more concrete material, such as an official title name, lead single announcement, etc! x

I really should be going back into hiding now, but I wanted to note on this real quick bc I've been wanting to make a big post about this for awhile, but didn't know if it would be too personal/intrusive to do so. I think Lana started attending AA again in 2018/2019 and I think that's where she actually met her new group of girl friends. I first started thinking this because many of her new girl friends in her little squad have made posts on their instagrams regarding their "sober birthdays" and congratulating their friends for their sober milestones as well. I have a few screenshots of these instances, but again, held off on posting anything because I wasn't sure if it was something that should be talked about on here. Anyway, I think she met these girls from her meetings, and that Candace is probably her sponsor. (The older woman who Lana has posted having phone conversations with.) Furthermore, in her leaked Pitchfork 2017 interview, the interviewer made a reference to Alcoholics Anonymous in which Lana said she had "no comment." Lana also said she had "no comment" when the interviewer asked if she still drank. Also, a friend had told me that one of her friend's uber drivers mentioned meeting Lana in an AA. There's also a few tweets on twitter that talk about meeting Lana at AA. Of course that's all just hearsay.. and all of this is just my pure personal speculation, but it sort of adds up, especially with this book post. I know people have some negative opinions of her new lil girl gang, but I think they've been a positive influence on her, especially if she met them where I'm thinking she did. Good for Lana for continuing to always better herself and surrounding herself with people who have her best interest at heart. Always proud of her. Anyway, ttfn x

Lana has just announced via instagram that she will be releasing a second poetry book titled "Behind the Iron Gates - Insights from an Institution" with publishing company Simon & Shuster with an aimed release of March 2021. This book will follow her first poetry book that is also pending for release titled "Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass." She is still planning to donate proceeds from the book to Native American foundations as she announced a few months back. Our busy bee has also announced in the same initial post that she will be releasing her next album on September 5th. anyway time to go back into hiding, but these announcements were just too exciting, I had to break free for a second! x

Wow, I didn't really realise how many of Lana's best songs start with the letter C... Cherry, Cruel World, Cinnamon Girl, California Catch and Release, Children of the Bad Revolution, Cherry Blossom (which you should add).. this was hard! I decided on Cherry though, I never get tired of dancing to that one x

I'm definitely open to creating an "Old Threads" section within Gallery to hold all of the old locked threads, sort of like the "Retired Pre-Release Threads" that holds all the old locked pre-release threads under Lana Thoughts. But yes, just as you said, I definitely feel like the threads need a clean start with OPs that can be reliably updated whenever new photos become available rather than having to dig through pages to find a certain photo, especially now as most of the posts are just expired images x

I could do that, but many of the posts in the threads have those expired photos flooding throughout them - just scrolling through the pages, there's so many expired images that are just annoying to scroll through when it comes to a Gallery thread that's reliant on photos. That's why I felt it would be a better idea to just remake the threads completely to have a clean slate with them, and either delete or lock&move the other threads. Also, I do feel a bit weird about editing a large number of others' OPs x

That's what sort of inspired me to revamp everything, so that way we could have our own organized section on LanaBoards rather than off-linking to another fansite. The interview section is more @@evilentity 's project, but that's another thing that would be nice to have progress made during this time if possible x

Hi everyone! I just wanted to grab a few opinions on something I've been considering doing. I've noticed that many threads in the Gallery section are outdated - the pictures have expired from being posted on defunct sites such as Tinypic, are not in the highest quality available, all the pictures available haven't been posted, the OPs haven't been kept up to date, etc. All around, they aren't well organized and can be difficult to look through if you're looking through specific pictures. I was considering deleting all threads that aren't up to date and creating new ones with OPs I can continue to update as more photos become available, as I do with OPs I manage in the Shows/Latest News threads. Of course, I wanted opinions if everyone would be on board with me wiping these threads and making new ones. As the threads would be deleted and new ones would take their place, all of posts in the threads would be gone. (Although if I have ever commented in a thread, I would be able to change that to the OP and all posts made after that one would be preserved. Alternatively, I could lock the outdated threads rather than deleting them & move them to an "Old Threads" subsection under Gallery so all original comments could be preserved, though this may be confusing.) With quarantine and all, I'd have plenty of time to revamp all of these threads within a few days. Let me know if this is something you all would be interested in, or if I should just leave them as is. Feel free to leave your thoughts below or vote in the poll.
