It’s funny so many people on Twitter are complaining the album is too political, too much social commentary, but arguably only 3 of the tracks fit that theme? (Man’s World, PTP, New America)

Okay I caved and listened to the leak…. Will need a little time to sit with them bc there’s obviously a recency bias, but this might be some of her best work!! No tracks I dislike so far

36 minutes does feel a little short, but I’m happy we’re getting a few songs that are close to/over 4 minutes

Not Pink Convertible being cut I was so hopeful it was renamed to New America. I hope it eventually leaks, the snippet was amazing

I've been re-watching Purge the Poison MV all day and can't but enjoy how much this feels like a return to form for Marina! The lyrics/aesthetics are very tongue-in-cheek (a Wizard of Oz-inspired video in which Mother Nature tells the world she's going to create chaos until Earth learns to respect her), but at the same time they comment on important social/psychological issues. It's the exact blend of quirkiness and depth I would expect 5-10 years later from the writer of songs like I Am Not a Robot, Mowgli's Road, Hermit the Frog, Guilty, Bubblegum Bitch, Sex Yeah!, Froot, Savages, etc. You can see the evolution in her writing as time has passed and she's matured. I also think the return to real instruments in the track makes such a difference! So many of my favourite Marina songs have amazing drum/guitar sections, and the drums in the final chorus of PtP are no exception!! We didn't get to hear this as much on L+F because the instrumentals were mostly produced digitally

I had the exact same thought when I read the tracklist - I have a random gut feeling that Pink Convertible is New America Btw she looks gorgeous I’m so excited!

I think sonically the album will be a mix of slower songs and upbeat ones. Based on snippets we’ve heard: Slower songs: Man’s World, Pink Convertible, Happy Loner, Cosmos/Highly Emotional People, Flowers Upbeat: Purge the Poison, Venus Fly Trap
