damn, villain is chris greatti too! the two best songs on the album by a long shot, she really need to do more work with him stat

yeah, the new mix is much sharper, the guitars and the vocals all cut harder. the vocals in the bridge were def brought up too which is good, in the demo they were buried in the mix. definitely makes the song feel even more punk-y

i have to say this album has really aged incredibly since it first leaked. i still listen to it all the time all the way through. all the songs are so good on their own and altogether work incredibly as a short but focused album that explores so many different sounds and does all of them so well. if this is just her debut im excited to see what she does next, the possibilities are really endless

i second that self destruct is IMPECCABLE on headphones. the whole album is mixed incredibly well, with the exception of i’d say cowboys and parts of troubled paradise that are far too overblown and busy

Serial Killer Troubled Paradise Throatzillaaa Self Destruct Letters Dog House Cowboys Venom Clouds Butterflies Letters is so Everytime by Britney?Also the production on serial killer is just total perfection, love the no doubt ska vibes. Clouds was kinda underwhelming at first, probably just bc she hyped it up so much, but i think it’s already growing on me. excited for it to get the single treatment this month

i’m thinking the reason dangerous isn’t on the album is bc it’s too similar to venom. still we should’ve had both. praying for a deluxe?

i’m pretty sure the plan was always to release a ton of singles, but i could definitely see them deciding to move the album up, maybe just by a few months. i’m sure it sucks that she wouldn’t get to do the full single roll out with videos/photo shoots and stuff though

troubled paradise already has hundreds of thousands of views/streams on spotify and youtube, which really isn’t bad for an artist as small as slayyyter who’s just on her debut album

she did an IG live a few nights ago where she said that Letters is the song she did with Nate Campany and the last one she wrote, it’s apparently melancholy but is about finding new love, and yes it should feature guitar. she basically said that the first portion of the record is more rap/electro, the mid-section is pure pop, and the last section has more live instrumentation (but i’m sure still mostly electronic). she hyped Clouds as the best song she’s ever done, and i think she implied Cowboys may also be a single some point down the line. she said there’ll be more surprises/fun things in the next few months to justify the far away release date, and she also hopes to start s3 in that time period, which she only has 1 song for atm. she also did another ig live last night, i don’t think anyone’s posted it yet though.

I’m definitely of the opinion that Dangerous should’ve made the album and not Dog House. I never really liked Dog House, it feels too much like just a mixtape reject for me (bc it literally is)
