I wouldn't say her "early" descriptions are off. UV wasn't supposed to be a rock album as it is now. It was suppose to be a dark, acoustic but still cinematic, spiritual album (see BB demo and Angels Forever) But of course Dan Auerbach got involved and recorded album again in the span of two weeks in nashville. She describes what the record is at the moment. Also Mark involvement makes me very happy because he has hip hop in his blood just like Emile. The album won't be a snooze that's for sure and he has a massive hit right now. Things are looking good unless Lana somehow changes the executive producer once again.

Ahh yes, I hope she serves us CLEAR vocals on Honeymoon. (Like Big eyes, I can fly) I don't like the filters used on UV.

You did nothing to dismiss my theory, infact you further explain how the image of an artist right before an album launch could greatly affect its performance (chart and reviews) Had Lana continued her glamour girl look before UV and the cover was different the album would have flopped critically. The new album is going to be messy interms of reviews that's for sure. Don't matter how good the music is..She underperformed with her previous era. The critics will have a field day unless the first single becomes a global critical hit.

Ya'll are young and dumb if you think image and music doesn't go together. They go like bread and butter lmao. The image of an artist also greatly affect her/his critical appeal. And I thought ya'll know this by now because BTD was trashed by critics not because of the album quality but because of SNL. Lana cute lil hit and the fact that BTD sold 5 million leading up to the release of UV also effected the reviews of that album. Like

I Can Fly lyrically isn't the best..the original version might have been better since Lana said she changed the lyrics to match the film. The melody is incredible.

Imagine a song starts off with a soft lullaby..then a beat DROP and BAM. like how she sings in "Radio" (long, dramatic..drawn out) Not even they can stop me now Boy, I’ll be flying overhead Their heavy words can’t bring me down Boy I've been raised from the dead Then BAM..the beats drop No one even knows how hard life was I don't even think about it now because I've finally found you Oh, sing it to me I want a more dramatic version of that please. Who, tho? Lana said herself that "UV is unlistenable" and she's right. The vocals are horrendous, and the melodies are indeed tragic to listen to. So i'm happy that SHE herself said that she's going back to BTD. A version of I Can Fly was meant for the album so.... And besides that song has a better melody than any song on UV esp towards the end with just the children laughing..the melody is orgasmic and lullaby-ish. I want THAT type of melody. I noticed that the instrumental of "Don't let me be misunderstood" also have that lullaby-ish sound. Praying she's going for a mix of jazz and lullaby (sweet sugary ear candy soft melodies)

I prefer a 10 tracks album priced at 6.99$.

This utter bullshit. She wasn't the best at the beginning of BTD era yet her ass still sang on TV. She's improved A LOT since then. The problem here is not her "chickening" out of live performances like girl...She's over promoting the album maybe because internal label conflicts "Maybe"....

I think i have more knowledge about how radio works more than anyone in this thread because i was a chart follower before falling in love with Lana so Anyways, Lana youtube power has FALLEN a lot ever since that album was released (UV). Her views are minuscule jesus. Big Eyes was uploaded 2 weeks ago and not even 1 million views.. I remember when Ride reached like 1 million in a day, Young & B was like 2 million. Wow..UV really destroyed her commercial appeal.

And Music To Watch Boys To sounds like an upbeat happy song to me.

If Honeymoon really is BTD 2.0 then I'm ready for a 10 million selling album plus Grammys. I hope this is her happy era full of radio hits. At this point, I don't mind radio music since she had TWO full noncommercial albums..it's time for a change. She's capable of pumping hits after hits judging by her unreleased materials. I'm still wondering why she hasn't tap into that. Something like Paris and Puppy Love for a first single would be perfect coupled with a clear channel radio deal. plus live performances and a video that doesn't suck. Also when I heard about Honeymoon..her unreleased pop songs poped up in my head immediately (Paris, Prom Song gone wrong etc) after reading the interview that she's going to a more BTD esque sound confirms my suspicion.

I'm totally here for Urban Lana. More beats plz. The beats on BTD actually make the album NOT boring compared to the snooze on Paradise which is just Orchestral sound.
