    Iggy Azalea - second album, retitled as Survive the Summer as originally planned (2019). I didn't think before of merging In My Defense with Survive the Summer but it pretty much works better, and also sneaking from Wicked Lips seems to work well.

    The new song is really really good! I absolutely love it :bop: 

    Ngl I'm a little bugged that Personal was added, and also I don't see the point on redoing songs previously released like I Took a Little Something and I'm Gonna Get You Back. She had tons of unreleased tracks (Go, Galaxies, Stupid Boy, Shut Down, Rumours, Last Thing on Your List, Get You Good, Hungry Like a Wolf; I know some don't fit but I think Galaxies and Hungry Like a Wolf would've been sweet choices instead)... anyways I won't complain. We're getting an album and it's sounding promising.

    Also it's great that the album is not really that far from now, only three months! Can't wait :excited:

    No, she only said in 2020 iirc that out of all the speculated songs (the leaks like Middle Man, 7teen, and also the singles), only Azillion, Team, Boom Boom, Elephant, Middle Man and 7teen were intended for it. It doesn't make sense though, that Mo Bounce, Switch and Savior weren't when they were initially marketed as part of the era. Also what about Higher, Calm Down, Love Don't Fail Me? It's a little sketchy to say the least.

    I think it was just the very last draft for the album in like mid 2017 before it was scrapped, because even two singles had been axed. It's all so strange that I just preferred to ignore her statement and use the songs that we have from that time. Even if they weren't in the last draft, they sound good together and were done in 2015-17 so they're part of the era to me.

    Thanks! Yeah, I tend to make that happier-to-sadder progressions in the rearrangements (when apply) so sorry about that :hide:

    I wanted to do that but there are songs from both versions I don't like (Don't Think About Leavin, Good Morning, Another Opinion, Lie to Me [sounds unfinished af], Blink etc.) so that's why I trimmed it - although a deluxe could fix that :true:

    Thanks guys! I've been using that tracklist for ages because I did it back in like 2018 (before Iggy confirmed the very last iteration of the album only had Team and like two other songs instead of the leaks and all) and tbh it's very solid. I wonder how would it have looked like if it was released at some point but we'll never know.

    And yeah the CD inlay was a little thing I did with the purpose of printing a full album with booklet but I ended up not doing it so :bebe:

    It’s a very weird rollout to say the least. Love the music, although the first descriptions of the sound aren’t that accurate. I read she wrote like 97 songs for this one and the standard LP is 26-minute long with what? 11 songs?!? :oprah2:And that there is a deluxe on the way with 14 or 15 tracks? I mean, why the wait for the deluxe?

    Thank God for Lana who hates deluxe editions of her albums :godlaugh:

    I absolutely love your Alone edit! Lowkey I would love it even more if it was a solo version cause I'm not a fan of Nicki's verse, but this is how it should've been done in the first place! The dance drop is really well done :true:

    I finally listened to the album and it's really really really good! :flutter: 

    the only songs I don't like are yes, and? and imperfect for you (both cases because of the chorus) but they feel like growers. the rest is really good, I loved it! favourites: we can't be friends (wait for your love), true story, supernatural and bye. but there are so many good tracks: don't wanna break up again, title track, i wish i hated you, the boy is mine (it doesn't deserve the hate y'all)... i just love how this album blends different styles in a cohesive way, it works so well :dancedy:

    whoever called it a 'sad Positions' what were they onto lol

     

    idk what's the hype about imperfect for you though, the verses are good but the chorus is not it and it kinda ruins the song for me
