    I mean, she likely doesn’t hate every single unreleased song. She probably means most of them she wasn’t happy with and they weren’t in the direction she wanted to pursue, so it was probably embarrassing having them leak then constantly be associated with her. She’s probably just trying to make it clear that a lot of them were in a style she never really wanted to pursue and never will officially. Especially since lots of those 2010-2011 ones are insanely popular with her fans, but she doesn’t feel like they represent her or her art that much. Like I’m sure there are some she likes, especially since, as you mentioned, she performs some live and wanted to release an unreleased anthology. Just like there’s probably some released songs she’s not too fond of, I doubt she thinks every single unreleased song of hers sucks.

     

    Many of these tracks however resemble the feel of the songs she included in born to die. It's unfortunate for her that they leaked (and most likely many of these songs weren't even properly finished) but I don't think she was pushed to write and create things she didn't relate to on a personal level at the time.

    I don't find this cute or funny. I find it disrespectful and immature. Like, you're accepting an award. Grow up, put the fucking vape down for 20 seconds, and say something that isn't basic af, or that at least isn't peppered with "fucking"s. You're a fucking writer.

    that's actually pretty embarrassing tbh  :facepalm: there are instances (like this one) where you have to present yourself in a serious manner (or you can't expect other people to take you seriously at times)

    Wow. Do you even realize how toxic you guys are lol. Reading this thread from a non obsessive bratty stan point of view is one hell of an experience.

    I'm reading this thread and just feeling so disappointed in her. Wtf is this california snippet? It doesn't even feel like she's singing the song, she's just speaking the lyrics.

     

    And imo there's absolutely NO excuse for forgetting the lyrics. It seems like she doesn't rehearse at all, just goes on stage and expects things to happen (hear fans screaming, make the least effort possible, point the mic to the audience and eventually run off stage) :rip:

    Technically, it's a part of the medley with Change, Black Beauty, and Young & Beautiful, and she stops those before the bridges as well. She also cuts Summertime Sadness before the bridge, but I remember her posting an instagram video months ago with her team as they discussed doing a shorter version of the song because it was "about time to"

    She has been better about Off to the Races though lately, she now is singing the entire bridge of it for the first time in awhile, she usually would skip the entire first half of it. She's also singing more of the chorus rather than skipping every other line. She said at one of the recent shows that it's one of her favourites, so I think she's encouraged herself to sing more of it x

     

    I do believe she likes the song but she certainly doesn't try. I watched the performance of the song in this show, she skipped a prechorus and half of the chorus where the prerecorded vocals cover her up (started singing from the ''because I'm crazy'' part). It's one of my favourite songs too, but if she wants to do it live she has to make a better effort.

    I love her but she's so full of contradictions :rip: also dead at the fact she thinks doing a week of interviews (instead of maybe a TV performance) means she promoted the album. And it shouldn't matter if the interviewers care about your mixing skills, we (your fans) support you and are the ones truly interested in the album making process...
