Can we talk about how exceptionally well lana blends complex sentences and words into the song melody and flow? I fucking love her wordy choruses and lines, but on this one she perfected that

Its a good song, like im bopping my shoulders but from the transition it kinda sounds like a fan mix. Love the first half but idk about the VB part

Lana is a genius. Why does this album feel like a sister album to something like Evermore from Taylor? It is also funny that Margaret sounds a bit like Taylor's dorothea in terms of melody and production. Anyway, I feel like this album has both a lot of old lana stuff + completely new lana stuff and its done so well... Thank you lana for sponsoring my mental breakdowns and spiritual enlightenment... cant believe i just said all this outloud

So... summertime the gershwin version that is...  Lana giving a show at a country club, not completely unlike her...

The original audio was from here, I just hated how quiet the vocals were, so I made this boosted version. It's only the part that has her vocals in it. The vocals are still kinda quiet at times, towards the end, but it's because the filtered acapella was not good enough in these places.

i think if she ever does plan on retiring or taking a long hiatus, she would say something like “this will be my last album” or “this is going to be my last album for a while” in the announcement, i really don’t think she’s the kind of artist to just drop off the face of the earth without a goodbye. or at least not anymore

Except she did say similar stuff herself back in 2013, 2015 AND 2019 (post BTD/UV interviews, Swan Song, The Greatest) so...  you can't trust her. She'll retire fully when she won't be able to sing, until then there will be music, maybe not as much and not as often, maybe in between other projects like poetry books.
...On the topic of poetry books, I suddenly remembered some literature vlogger skunk saying that her book was fine in some places and generic in others and I was like... literature nerds have no rights, especially not when all their exposure to lana and her artistry is SU-SU-SU-SUMMERTIME SADNESS OH OOH OH *insert heavy electronic farting here*

(unless you meant AKA, which was 2010, but technically 2008 cos thats when it was finished)

I am talking about the Electra cover art photoshoot and the Carmen photoshoot as both happened in 2011. It's not that one was actually inspired by the other, it's just that I find it kinda fascinating that they happened to be so creatively synchronized.

Hey LanaBoards... I am back from my two year long hiatus because I'm just like Lana... 
Anyway, here is some fanmade cover art and promo pictures I made for the yet unreleased song using Martin Zähringer photos from his Carmen photoshoot (2011). This is supposed to be a vinyl cover art. There are a few variations and the OG upscales I did in Remini. I was pretty inspired by this edit, no idea who is the author. Fonts used are LDRcondensed and Montserrat.

An early WIP. I had a morph retouch of her face from L'Uomo Vogue 2014 photoshoot lying around for a while. I morphed it after her Paradise alt cover art face, but couldn't get the hair silhouette to look natural back then. So now I decided to do a different haircut alltogether, lol. It's pretty rough around the edges and I'm still ironing out the facial semblance. The hair and the jacket are all taken from different photos of the same photoshoot and pieced together.

It's actually a gold effect template from hyperpix(.net). They design and sell a whole bunch of templates, but also have free ones. I don't remember which one I used. I altered the effect further to fit, too.

This is a weird one - I was very inspired by a similiar artwork I found randomly, which turned out to be @Yosemite's work, lol. So the credit for the concept goes to them. It gave me some Lord of the Rings vibes, so the typography was inspired by that, I guess. I attached the full uncropped version too. Wish we had more photos of her with that look, it's gorgeous.
