i believe the very first snippet she shared of happiness is a butterfly was a piano demo

also the first snippet she shared of how to disappear was also a piano demo

Would love to have the piano studio version of HTD. It is way more powerful than the official one we got.

Just love her performance on the Apple event.

dont kill me for this but... I don't think Dealer is that good. It is good! But overrated imo. I do listen to it quite regularly tho

The first time I listened to it I was actually.... underwhelmed.:eek2: I thought, based on the way you guys described it that it would be like 20 times MORE screamy and angry (not like death metal kind of screamy but ya know), and when the song ended I thought "that was it?"💀

That's it, I think the same way

  4. My unpopular opinion is that Million Dollar Man is absolutely one of her best songs ever and probably one of my favorites ever.

It has aged like the most fine wine and it truly deserved to be a single and have a beautiful music video. It's a shame she doesn't sing it live anymore and the general public seems to never talk about it.

Also I used to cry a lot listening to it when I was a freshman in high school. I fell deeply in love with a senior, but we never even were friends, it was just a platonic thing that consumed me for, like, 2 years lol.

I wonder what the back cover of the album with the tracklist would have looked like if the first image Chuck shot for Ultraviolence remained as the album cover.

Just imagine this as a back cover

Okay, so... I saw this on FB and I don't know what insider this infos came, but according to the post I saw we can expect A LOT of good things from LDR9:

1- There was a first batch of 3 songs that was mastered in March, a second in May with seven and a third in June with only two (12 songs so far, so probably the album isn't finished yet. According to his manager, he confirmed that it is almost ready.

2- At the artist of the decade awards event promoted by Variety, Lana was dressed in a jacket with a symbol containing the initials DNC. According to the insider, it's the acronym for a song that was on the first batch of songs. Contains guitar, surf drums, cello/violins, flutes, intro piano and vocal layers with deep, high vocals. Recently, Neil Kruger, photographer and close friend of Lana's, posted an image with the caption “see you in September”; the image published by him is very similar to Del Norte Coast (or County). The singer liked the post and the photographer liked a comment that referred to Lana, implying that the project (DNC?) is about her.

3- There is a song called “When The Stars Align” (excerpt from one of the highlights from Instagram account @honeymoon) which is the most boppish song in years. It's about having fun and mentions the kindness of strangers and amazing people she's met in her life.

4- The song that mentions plastic bags and little extrapolated intentions (described by Lana in the interview for W Magazine) can be the title track and is 6 minutes long. Contains orchestra, oboe, harp, guitar, piano, spatial synthesizers and bridge percussion. The bridge's vocals are very sensual and reminiscent of Stargirl interlude.

5- Apparently, there is no collaboration so far.

6- Producer Rick Nowels is back and has done additional production on some songs. Anyone who knows him knows that he loves working on the arrangement and the instrumental.

7- The new album is very atmospheric; cold space and ocean vibrations. It is said as strange, but there are those who prefer the term 'new', but in a good way to hear.

8- There is a song about her late grandmother. It's heartbreaking and one of the saddest on the album. Also mentions her deceased cousin.

9- For those who hate piano, maybe this is a good point. According to the insider, it has a lot of orchestra as is characteristic of Drew's work, but the piano appears in the background, not as a main instrument, except for one or two songs.

10- 'Waist Deep In Icy Waves' is a song from the album whose sound is similar to 'Swan Song'.

11- There is an unreleased on the album that was produced by Jack Antonoff.

12- For those who love the famous unreleased 'Yes to Heaven', this might be good news: The track was reworked once again, but it was scrapped, put on the album and scrapped again. So maybe she'll change her mind again and put it on the album.

13- The title “Red Dress” was replaced in the song. She really wanted to play a colorless album. The bridge was changed and became longer. It has a 40-second finale with violins, piano and spatial sound effects.

14- If this album was the son of previous albums already released, NFR! would be his mother and Honeymoon would be his father.

  9. My unpopular opinion is that I love The Other Woman and Guns and Roses.

Actually I think all of her covers are far superior than the original versions (sorry, Nina Simone), it is really exquisite what she can do. Hell, she even got over Madonna's version of You Must Love Me (!).

Also I love Yayo, which is a song I know some of you guys don't really appreciate. Plus I prefer Lizzy's version to the Paradise one. Also I don't really like AKA, probably just 3 or 4 songs (?).

I use the photo of the knees as an alternative cover (demos) and it is true that it is magnificent. The photo of Lana with the flowers is sublime, iconic but does not represent the album, it's more of a general photo. Anyway, this is my opinion. The original one, I find it perfect with the black and white, and Lana sad coming out of her old Mercedes, I find that it corresponds to the sadness of Ultraviolence: a woman who has lived a more tormented journey than Born to die .

I like the front cover, but the back one represents all the loneliness and sadness that the album carry. It really has a dark vibe to it.

I put it into my "Single Outs" album which includes everything that are like one offs. You'll Never Walk Alone, You Must Love Me, Looking For America, Watercolor Eyes, Season Of The Witch, etc. like the non-album songs and soundtrack songs

edit: i think i misunderstood the assignment :icant:

Do u have a list and cover for that?

Would love to see how you organize them, all my non album tracks that were oficially released I have as singles on my phone - but it would be nice to have them all in one album
