I wonder if she'll use the Ocean Blvd outtakes as a starting point for the next thing or if she's leaving all that behind. Maybe the "outtakes" aren't even that and she recorded them with the next project in mind... Ocean Blvd title track and Fingertips were recorded in 2021, in the last stages of BB or just after it and we thought they were outtakes at first but they were always meant for the next album We know that Zodiac was at one point part of the record though... I think we'll have some songs with Jon (on production at least) on LDRX since CN was one of the last tracks she made for Ocean Blvd and we got his interlude that sounds nothing like that other song... so they were it the studio playing around quite a bit and I'm sure something nice came out from it

Yeah didn't she record the LFL demo before even releasing Honeymoon? There's too much overlap on her eras/albums to properly organize it... specially since she doesn't always record stuff with a full concept of an album in mind

So apparently Rob and Lana made a song called Sunshine for Ocean Blvd (or Lost At Sea) but it was scrapped but he said it's probably going to end up in the next project I have to read the whole thing to see the context cause I only saw a couple of tweets but it's funny how we already know about 2 Ocean outtakes

Can't believe we're getting the album so soon Time flew by with Ocean Blvd in between his first single and the Lana tracks. They did a great job with the scheduling We got "new" Lana like 4 or 5 weeks in a row

Sometimes her unreleased tracks (AKA included) get copyright strikes/claims on different platforms so unless this time is a different kind of claim I'm not moving yet Are the AKA songs registered somewhere? Cause that could be a better clue than youtube and soundcloud uploads being taken down

Yeah as much as I love every album of hers and I'd definitely take another Ocean-like record... I kinda miss her more "conceptual" albums. I don't know if we're getting one of those ever again tho cause it seems like she now just writes and writes and then puts her favorite cuts together to form a record (which works tho, Ocean Blvd was varied in sound while thematically cohesive but the songs don't live in the same universe if it makes sense ) We know it was kinda deliberate in the past (cause she mentioned she used to world build her albums) but I wonder if she really made the effort or if it came naturally like the religious imagery/themes during Paradise/Tropico/pre UV. Maybe she just really like that in that period and it was less of an active effort to "write about Jesus and Mary" After this last album I'm not that scared about collabs anymore cause she nailed them this time but I also prefer solo Lana

The vocal melody is stunning The arrangement is simple but it's really good too It's going to be such a chill and beautiful record

I think that's exactly the reason... like 99% of his sales/streams are going to be from Lana stans so it's better to put out some stuff before just in case something really moderately sticks. Also so people listen to his solo songs since they are going to be overshadowed by Lana's track on release

I really liked the setlist, there were some weird choices but overall it made sense specially since it's a festival... there's no way she doesn't sing the BTD singles but I'm sure it will change a bit every show (like for example National Anthem instead of DMD). By the way... what's Bittersweet I wonder if it's just the early Sweet title and she refers to it that way. She has never premiered a new song live unless she already announced it (like UV and HM title tracks). Maybe it's an Ocean Blvd outtake but it's kinda weird that she didn't put it on the album but still wants to sing it live

Summertime Sadness and Arcadia being both in my top 10 Lana songs Some people just hate fun SYTH is far from my favorite track but I don't get why would anyone complain about her putting out music. And even if the label "pressured" her to release it, she had the last word as always so it's her decision too (and she chose the version she wanted anyway). Let's just enjoy the music (or not if you don't like it, taste is subjective and luckily she releases almost yearly so there's something for everyone We're even getting 2 new songs on Rob's album in less than a month

Yeah I'll never understand gatekeeping in general but gatekeeping SYTH when it's probably her most popular unreleased song (next to Serial Killer and QOD) It's not like people weren't listening to it in every platform already
